Negreanu toughed out her first win, 63 57 62, and meets SE Lara Michel, who won SES last week, in the the second round.

ETA: Fell to Lara, 1 & 3.

Bianca Hincu made her first SF in over a year, by upsetting #7 Sofia Svatsabaia, 75 61. She now evens their h2h, 1-all.

She faces #1 Jasmina Tinjic for a spot in the final.

Bianca fell to Jasmina, 57 16.

The next Antalya is stronger, and thus she has to play qualies as the #1 seed. Tough turnaround!

Two Romanian qualifiers made the SF, and will face off for a spot in the final!

16 y.o. Ioana Ducu, a Top 50 junior shocked #1 Anne Schaefer by defeating her 62 26 62!

17. y.o. Cristina Ene to out fellow qualifier Petra Uberalova, 63 61.

Ene defeated Duca in their only junior meeting, in 2011.

16 y.o. qualifier Ilka Csoregi reached her first career SF, after defeating fellow qualifier Ana Veselinovic, 63 76(5)! She has yet to drop a set in this tournament.

Up next, #4 Vanessa Furlanetto.

Ilka should win this. I am still a fan of hers but I've learnt to temper my overall expectations about her.
