Martin received a sentence of five years. Showing good behaviour in prison, Dutroux was released on parole in April 1992, having served only three years, by Justice Minister Melchior Wathelet. Upon his release the parole board received a letter from Dutroux's own mother to the prison director, in which she stressed concern that he was keeping young girls captive in his house - which was essentially ignored.[4]
Following his release from prison, Dutroux was able to convince a psychiatrist that he was psychiatrically disabled, resulting in a government pension. He also received prescriptions of sleeping pills and sedatives, which he would later use on his victims
as a result his next victims:
Julie Lejeune, 8, starved
Melissa Russo, 8, starved
An Marchal, 17, buried in garden
Eefje Lambrecks, 19, buried in garden
Sabine Dardenne, then aged 12 - survived
Laetitia Delhez, then aged 14 - survived
He was caught and jailed for a life in prison , but will be set free after 16 years in prison because of good behaviour ..
2) Breivik will be set free after 21 year in prison for intentional mudering of 77 people
It's not like i want Russia to become THAT liberal.....

Well, man, you gotta grow a bit of a thick skin if you want to communicate with people here. Many of them are not thinking straight, so to speak and more than that .. they are thinking that their way of thinking is the only right way. A mystery of liberal brain, you know.. but it's fun..
Russia is getting things right in many ways, I believe, albeit too slow for them to be felt by us already, I wish Putin was a bit stronger than he is. It will take a lot of time, and, unfortunately, several generations before Russian Empire will be able again to claim moral superiority to West, who pretty much bankrupted the world with their utopian liberalism.

Russia is not a liberal democracy and not pretending to be. You are all fuming about it. There are many countries in the world that pretend to be that, and where things are worse then in Russia in human rights aspect. I don't see threads about them. There are countries in the world where gays are executed just for being gay. Where are the threads discussing that? Just trust me on that - only those gay people in Russia who deliberately try to really push the envelope will have any trouble at all.
Russia has always been a country traditional virtues, whether it is was in Tzarist time or Soviet time or now. Very much a macho country. Where there are two types of people - men, that are or at least trying to look strong, masculine, tough, powerful, chivalry and cool. And women who are or are trying to be feminine and beautiful. Everyone in the age range of 15-50 who is not exposing those traits is considered , defacto, kind of a freak by pretty much everyone else. You don't like it? Try your best to change it within existing law. You want to push it beyond the current law? You'll pay the price. A law is a law. You don't want to? You can always leave for a place of your liking. These days it is easy.

that's all really......nothing more to say.......westerners need to get out of their day dream and realize that their political model is just as shitty as any other......democracy and capitalism are cunningly contrived systems set up only to divide people and concur......

With all due respect I'd rather hear that from some Russian and/or Indian lesbians (or women in general rather) than 3 straight guys.

It always kills me how sooner or later most repressive reactionaries revert to this kind of relativist, everywhere-is-as-good-as-everywhere-else-if-you-don't-like-it-there's-the-door bollocks. And the real screamer is how they completely miss the fact that the same twisted logic applies perfectly to their own bigotries.
If gayness doesn't appeal to you, don't be gay. Your view of right and wrong is just as shitty as any other.

This is really encouraging to read especially given the fact that you don't even live in Russia iirc and you have chosen to move to the rotten and bankrupted American world.

my comment wasn't about the murderers , it was more about the western human rights for murderers, which are too tolerant(in Norway Jack the Ripper or any other "monster" would have been jailed for 21 years and will be set free after that)..... It's one of the examples of the field where Western countries are going the wrong direction and lost the right balance. It's not the only field , for instance this shameful tendency in some western countries to take away children from families and reallocating them in orphanages just for minor reasons is even worse.
returning to our topic , "Russia bans public homosexuality" , pls explain why is it offensive? It's forbidden in all european countries to walk in the streets naked, despite there's nothing against nature in being naked. In France it's forbidden to cover face and wear all conspicuous religious symbols in public schools ...
Why should it be offensive for gays not to be allowed to show homosexuality in front of children at schools? Is it the main human right to have a right to kiss passionately in front of children?

Because public schools and the street are secular.
Homosexuality has nothing to do with morals (being naked in the street, it can really be traumatic for young kiddos, besides it's not hygienic) and religions.
It's just two people in love holding hands or showing some signs of affection ffs. If you want to prohibite that for kids, fine, but do it for straight people as well ! Otherwise, it's discrimination.

It is kind of a natural discrimination. Kids see a straight couple do that every day from day one - from their parents. So there is nothing novel there for them.

Ermmm, NO! Natural discrimination is how we treat murderers and rapists and whatever criminals. It comes to us as natural that such persons are bad and deserve sanctions.
OTOH, to show discrimination towards two adult persons who are in love.....
Also, in many families kids see parents from day one that they're not getting along well, that they are abusive to each other or simple get divorced
