Some photos from the TE Winter Cup (U16):

Julie Noe is playing an ITF in Switzerland this week, but the next big task for most of the other juniors is the KB ITF next week (11 FEB). GL!

Re: The Danes are coming - Danish juniors thread

Martine Ditlev is playing 10K Linköping, Sweden, this week. She lost in qualies but got a LL spot in main draw.

QR1
Martine Ditlev (DEN) d. Arijana Korac (SWE) 6-2 6-3

QR2
Grace Dixon (GBR) d. Martine Ditlev 6-2 3-6 6-3

1R
(LL) Martine Ditlev (DEN) d. (Q) Emilia Granstrom (SWE) 2-6 6-4 6-2

This is Martine's first ever MD singles win at a pro tournament, if I'm not mistaken. Well done! She also got a WC for the doubles tournament but lost in 1st round.

Re: The Danes are coming - Danish juniors thread

ITF Copenhagen (Grade 4)

Doubles SF

Francati (DEN)/Rønholt (DEN) d. Braun (GER)/Krasnova (RUS) 6-3 7-5
(2) Høyer (DEN)/Ponomar (GER) d. Alipieva (DEN)/Malm (SWE) 6-4 7-6(4)

Very good tournament for Francati and Rønholt (reaching semis in singles earlier today, and now a doubles final too). Ulrikke Høyer has a chance to win her 5th ITF doubles title. It will be the first for Emilie/Emma.

I feel a bit sorry for Alipieva/Malm. They won this tournament a year ago and have some points to defend, but they won't earn any points at all this year beccause they had walkovers in both R1 and QF! Kom igen!

Still a good tournament. Martine will play 10K Helsingborg next week (q-draw). GL!

ITF Copenhagen (Grade 4)

SF

(3) Melanie Stokke (NOR) d. (8) Emilie Francati (DEN) 7-6(3) 6-2
(4) Margaux Deagostini (SUI) d. Emma Rønholt (DEN) 6-3 6-3

Doubles final

Francati (DEN)/Rønholt (DEN) d. (2) Høyer (DEN)/Ponomar (GER) 6-3 6-1

Too bad about the singles losses, but we couldn't really expect more. Congrats to Emilie/Emma with the doubles title! Francati will be the highest ranked Danish junior after this tournament (before Ditlev, Alipieva, Noe, Høyer, Rønholt and Melsted, in that order). Rønholt will possibly break the top 500, which means that there will be 6 Danish girls in the top 500 (or at least 5). I remember a few years ago when there were only 2 girls in the top 1000, so it's definetely a step forward. Good job! Go and win some singles titles now

10K Helsingborg, Sweden

QR1

Martine Ditlev d. (1) Valeria Osadchenko (SWE) 3-6 6-3 7-6(5)

Nice comeack once again! She's had a lot of those lately. Better start winning 1st set too
Martine's opponent in the qualifying final is Karina Jacobsgaard, who's been Martine's coach on the National Team. That will be interesting

Mai Grage, Maria Jespersen and (obviously) Karina Jacobsgaard also won QR1 but since thy're not juniors I'll post their results in the Danish tennis thread.
