Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Possibly another Olivia-Bojana but this time in R2 Hopefully Boj is fit and healthy and ready to play.
Ana Savic's is also going to be dangerous as shes unseeded and looming
Bad draw for Lizette
Quarter 2 has no Aussies at all unless if the qualifiers are.
I'm scared for Sacha, she might get thumped by Kontaveit. Possibly another Rajicic-Adamczak rematch as well.
I hope Priscilla can make Yurika have a run for her money. She definitely can.

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Considering experience levels, those playing quals in final rounds should provide some interesting matches (ie competitive level), as well as to see what they can do if making main draw. But those already experienced and continuing to grind away in 25K Main draws where already direct entry eligible and accomplished finalists are limiting themselves if they don't try and step up at the next level. Especially if TA favoured and AIS funded as travel expenses shouldn't be an issue. AIS athletes should be prepared to go to the highest level possible otherwise what's the point in getting carried over many years and gifted WCs etc? I don't think the comments made are a criticism of the players per se, everyone wants to see them do well. It's the TA/ AIS strategies (or lack thereof) which selectively controls the options for some favoured players (picked at 12-14 when winning matches) and limiting others even getting a chance, which is the core of the problem. There are plenty of good suggestions in this forum for changes that could make a difference, so if tennis fans who follow the players and the events can see the obvious, why can't TA?

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Bad draw for Storm
Bad draw for Azra
Awesome draw for Jess
Jess could get a win or 2 here, if she beats Aoyama, she could beat Priscilla or Yurika. Just do what you did to Erika, Jess!
Storm and Azra just had to draw the 2 best unseeded players

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Shame Tammi drew Adamczak in the first round
I hope Arina gets the AUS next to her name soon.... She's been in Australia for ages!
