In Poland the lower house of parliament voted against establishing LGBT civil unions just recently with 40+ members of the leading party even voting against that Obviously there's not a chance of allowing same sex marriage and child adoption right now as well
How pitiful do you have be to take joy in other people being refused their rights? How would it harm you? We aren't going to go away just because this law hasn't passed

I've always found this to be crazy. I've spoken to Singaporean friends (who are all younger generation) and some of them didn't even realize male homosexuality was technically illegal in Singapore. I find it mind-boggling how many archaic English laws are still in place in Singapore that they won't get rid of (some of which aren't even much enforced anymore).
This is probably nothing to worry about. There are tons of archaic laws all over the world, which no one really cares about , but which still exist.
E.g.
-- Sex toys are banned in some states, such as Alabama.
-- Sexual intercourse between unmarried couples is illegal in Georgia.
-- Flirting is banned in San Antonio, Texas.
-- Oral sex is banned in Indiana.
-- Anal intercourse is banned in Cincinnati, Ohio.
-- Sexual positions beyond missionary are illegal in Washington, D.C.
-- Sleeping naked is illegal in Minnesota.

Do they seriously not? I guess if you are not gay you don't keep abreast of the local developments. There was a pretty serious debate in the Parliament in 2007 on this issue, spawning this infamous speech:
NYU's gay law students later protested against her appointment as a visiting professor on the basis on this speech and she decided not to take up the position.

In California where I live there is no problem however in India where I was born it is still at a place where the US was in the 80s. AIDS/global changes has forced homosexuality into public discussion but most feel its a moral lifestyle issue.
moby we also had 377 till 2009 (though there were no prosecutions since 1986 i believe) when the High Courts(similar to Federal Circuit Court in US) held to be incompatible with the Indian constitution. The lawsuit is still pending in the Supreme Court but is very unlikely to be overturned.
In my religion (Hinduism) there is no opposition to being gay (there is only one thing mentioned taking a bath after having gay sex which I do follow) but Hindu society has imported homophobia from the 1000 years of Abrahamic rule over India. Plus amongst Hindus what society thinks drives parents motivations more than religion. A son coming out as gay is very shameful.

believe me, they still didn't really approve gays, they can live with it, love them to do some work, but still cannot fully-accept or even being a 'joker' in some situation, which I know that you guys don't wanna be like that

I'm one who doesn't understand the desire to "cross-dress". I mean ?? As erotic play or for fun I can see it but as something that one makes part of one's identity I . yeah .nah. And again it's something that far more men than women seem to have a penchant for.

No one can be "refused their rights" unless you mean cases where an individual decides to break the law. Rights don't fall from the sky. They are set out by a society's legal/political systems.
And if you mean "human rights" that's also an arbitrary concept (one that I support). The modern conception of human rights was statrted based on Judeo-Christian beliefs.

well if someone from let's say Iran wants to share some informations about his country then I'm not really expecting any news on same-sex marriage bill in Iranian Parliament lgbt rights is a broad issue and all news are appreciated - especially the good ones

To play a part, far from the "normal" you? That is a fundamental desire for a lot of people. To have another "them." And why do you need to understand it anyways?

Does it really matter whether you 'understand' it or not? Does it affect you in any way whatsoever? If it brings them happiness what's the problem?
