Yes, they were portrayed in the fairy-tale way a little. All historical movies like to blur the reality and turn it into a tale. I am not sure the audience would enjoy the reality as much.

By TF standards, you're a TOTAL boy scout
Even though it was a cheesy horror sequel,I'm glad Watts made 'Ring 2' because the demonic bitch antagonist deserved to be extinguished...even though the dynamic between Watts' character and her son was almost laughable

Just watched some very local news. Apparently, Ronaldo is going to be sponsor buddies with woz in an underwear deal with JBS. And it was he who contacted them.
I must say, I did NOT see that coming.

Will he also be modelling the 'Caroline Wozniacki' line?

Because of my known bias against European futbollers,I was waiting for a more impartial voice to post almost those exact words
This next part is a free-for-all for ANYone with input:
Are there schools in your country where a student can fail an introductory course(even miserably so)...and then take a more advanced course in the same field the following semester??Before everyone jumps to the conclusion that we haven't made any improvements since the bastard Spaniard royalists left a huge mess 200 years ago, some of our better universities don't permit such odd-looking advancements. For the high schools and colleges that DO,they generally have a limit that a student may not graduate with 3 failed courses...so,in those cases,he/she must re-take one of the failures or pass a special, difficult make-up exam that demonstrates no less than a basic mastery of the course material.
Even so,it seemed very strange to me when I first encountered that after having grown up in a different system. It feels absurd when a student who scored 10% on her final exam--and rarely showed up to class--is taking a higher-level course which requires greater comprehension

Hmmm...do you dislike Spain as much as you dislike the US?
I've never heard of someone taking the more advanced course the next semester after failing the intro course. That's weird. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the person was giving a pretty weak effort in the intro course because the material was well below them.

You originally spelled it "week" before fixing it,so I was going to suggest that you stop getting spelling lessons from poster 'Down In A Hoal' .It's sort of irrelevant WHY the student failed as we're only addressing the question of whether or not he/she should be allowed to take the next highest course. It looks a bit absurd to me yet I'll probably get used to it after a while
To answer your question: No--not by a long shot, but there's a whole lot of racism in Spain, though I'd guess that most of it comes from middle-aged folks on up,with the older generation being particularly nasty.Jews are often treated like garbage and, though most of us can't afford to travel there,Mexicans are disrespectfully looked down on as jungle savages...as if we were still their colonial subjects......There IS payback, though,as wealthy Spaniards who vacation here are prone to getting their valuables stolen and their teeth kicked in

Re: On the Concept of Irony w/ Continual Reference to Caro, the #1 Sunshine Queen
Will give the WTA website the benefit of the doubt;they claimed to have an interview with Mladenovic after her QF win,and yet it was essentially the exact same one she did following her 2nd-Round victory .It would be pretty pathetic if the WTA just pretended to have a new clip and guessed that no one would notice,so I'll assume that they accidentally uploaded the same one a second time....Either way, another amateur-hour performance from the WTA page

Re: On the Concept of Irony w/ Continual Reference to Caro, the #1 Sunshine Queen
Had a dream last night that Baltimore was losing BIG...but that's a good omen,of sorts, because every time I have such a dream when one of my faves is in a championship game, they come out with a win .I say SORT of an omen cuz my dreams have no known impact on how the players perform .However,I was already optimistic going in,and now I'm MORE so

I spoke to a Spanish girl who works at the same office as I do and she said that Spaniards are now moving to Latin America to work because of the economic crisis that's been troubling Spain for about 6 years now. So, it looks like the tables are turning now...

and young people from Portugal move to Brazil for work .. It's a worrying trend for the future prospects of the Iberian peninsula.
On the other hand, 'East' workers are now moving from the new EU countries to the old EU countries.
100 million new EU citizens. Willing to work for a Mars bar an hour. Oh joyous new world. Now all we need is to incl Turkey in EU and there'll be another 70 million migrant workers to feed.
Happy new world order. The world where the lowest common denominator rules!

Don't wanna pontificate too much ,but I believe that there's some sort of universal justice system in place.People with differing beliefs can ponder what the source of that justice is.I think back to Latino narco kingpin Pablo Escobar, seemingly invincible with all his wealth and power, who died being shot down in the street like a common dog...things just find a way of working out sometimes ,even though we get impatient waiting for them to happen
