My theory is that some kind of time-space anomaly occurred in 2010 and 2011 and the result was the phenomenon of Caroline Wozniacki. I have no other explanation.

  Gotta love the Radwanskis!

I haven't felt such tennis related sadness and disappointment in a long, long time.

I believe that her ego did the job there. It became clear that she would #1 position in few months, so she decided to retire before it happens. She wanted to protect her legacy. Losing to Safina and Schiavone was too much and those bakery products served by Serena and Masha...

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2
I wasn't that surprised when she retired the first time, I saw that coming after the disaster against Serena in Miami. I think she simply got fed up, with her physique (and mindset!) she had to work unbelievably hard to achieve what she did and had pushed herself too far.
Anyway, I think there are even more suspicious examples in tennis today.

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2
Justine retired the first time because she was sick and tired of tennis and her results got worse and worse. I can also sense some private problems adding to that, but basically because she was fed up.

Thanks! For Petra, the situation is getting dire. Imagine if she became another Anci To be trashed like this on her best surface...She doesn't seem committed at all.

Ana was not only slumping, she was skipping the tournaments as well. She was taking the breaks too often, so that's not gonna happen to Petra. But she's not gonna stay top 10 for a long time.
