The Michigan scoreboard that referred to Missouri's opponents yesterday as USC calls the same team SCAR when they face the hosts...

Re: 2013 Kick Off Weekend
Baylor trailing Texas Tech 3-2 with #2 (Horter vs Kilgo) and #4 (Generette vs Ullathorne) in the 3rd set.

A lot of close calls so far, but perhaps this could finally be the first big upset of kickoff weekend?

Re: 2013 Kick Off Weekend
Baylor survives 4-3, with their freshman Generette clinching it 7-5 in the 3rd. Eh, so much for that upset.

Re: 2013 Kick Off Weekend
So, it looks like Vandy is the only non-host team to advance.
Assuming they go by the rankings which shouldn't have any major changes near the top this week, the seedings should be:
[1] #2 UCLA
[2] #3 Duke
[3] #4 USC
[4] #6 Georgia
[5] #7 California
[6] #8 North Carolina
[7/8] #T9 Alabama
[7/8] #T9 Miami-FL
With the following teams "lurking":
#11 Texas
#12 Virginia
#13 Texas A&M
#14 Northwestern
#15 Baylor
#16 Michigan
#17 Nebraska
#25 Vanderbilt
No sitting ducks really now that Wisconsin is no longer the host...
Even without UF and Stanford, looks like a pretty strong field overall. USC and UCLA look to be the strongest teams but it will be interesting to see if their success translates indoors.

Of course their success translates, since UCLA is the defending champ and USC semifinalist KK/Sabs in fact won NIIC two in a row
With Capra gone from the team(her Duke profile is removed )..both So. Cal teams are the biggest contenders of the title.
By the way, shocking loss by UNLV;

Of course one could argue that this team in fact lost ALL 3 matches at UVA last year
2/12/2012 Pos. #1 #1 Kaitlyn Christian
Sabrina Santamaria #17 Robin Anderson
Skylar Morton #2 UCLA Loss 8-6
2/11/2012 Dual Match Pos. #1 #1 Kaitlyn Christian
Sabrina Santamaria Natalie Pluskota
Caitlyn Williams #23 University of Tennessee Loss 9-7
2/10/2012 Dual Match Pos. #1 #1 Kaitlyn Christian
Sabrina Santamaria Shinann Featherston
Lauren McHale #8 North Carolina Loss 8-5
Wonder if they can overcome the 'curse of UVA' this time
But first, they battle WAATC Cons. winner and NIIC semifinalist, PEPP #1 Guillermo/Issara this Thursday.

Re: 2013 Kick Off Weekend
Will DUKE still put Jodoin at #6?
Her recent results;
Rnd/Pos Opponent Opponent School Result Score
2/3/2013 Dual Match Pos. #6 Alicia Barnett #14 Northwestern University Win 6-3, 6-1
1/27/2013 Dual Match Pos. #6 Christa Gecheva #63 Univ. of Wyoming Win 6-2, 6-0
1/26/2013 Dual Match Pos. #6 Helen Rabot #75 University of Wisconsin, Madison Win 6-2, 6-1
1/19/2013 Dual Match Pos. #5 Hope Johnson #53 College of William and Mary Win 6-1, 6-2
1/10/2013 Rainbow Wahine Spring Invitational Paulina Petriskova #61 Univ. of Hawaii, Manoa Win 6-2, 6-0
1/9/2013 Rainbow Wahine Spring Invitational Rebecca Faltusz #61 Univ. of Hawaii, Manoa Win 6-0, 6-0
11/11/2012 Kitty Harrison Invitational Final Ellie Ball Marshall University Win 6-1, 6-0
11/10/2012 Kitty Harrison Invitational Semifinals Anik Cepeda #53 College of William and Mary Win 6-2, 6-0
11/10/2012 Kitty Harrison Invitational Quarterfinals Stephanie Falcon UNC Greensboro Win 6-1, 6-1
11/9/2012 Kitty Harrison Invitational Round of 16 Karlyn Timko Marshall University Win 6-2, 6-4
So #6 sgls will be between former #1s Vandy's and FSU's?
Then Kiah should win against Annie at #4. (I still can't understand why Annie is ahead of Monica and Marianne)

In past years there have been separate threads ( 2012, 2011, 2010) for the tournament proper...
