Paris R2 Lucie Safarova (6) def. Alize Cornet 6-2 4-6 6-2
I swear Lucie is the only top 20 player that gets snubbed in the results thread. This match finished almost three hours ago.  Really poor play from Lucie at times, Cornet was just keeping the ball in play. Lucie came back in the second set after being down 2-4 only to lose her service game at 4-5. I didnt get to see much of the third set due to class but from the beginning part I saw Cornet was tired and was taking over 30 seconds in between rallies. Now with Cibulkova out hopefully Lucie can get revenge against Bertens (1st Rd Wimby 2012) and make the semis.

Lucie played absolutely terribly in the second set, but was almost untouchable in the first set.  Third set wasn't too bad, but at least she got through it. Not good serving from her at times. 
Alize  Good fight, and her serve is actually much better now...and there is more pop off her forehand now.

alize has improved a lot. 3rd set until 3-2 was amazing, great 5th game
quite happy about her performance here, even though she lost. great improvement, really
