The thing which puts me off here is also not the win-loss, but the way it's happening again. You don't trash a Top 300 player like that any day being not even in the Top 1000, so Ilka really must have played very well against her. Why she stank up like that today, no clue? Only 3 games is pretty bad to say the least.
Whatever, Ilka had her first matches played on 10k level, but she still lacks the consistency. I can see her winning a couple of them next year, though, if she works on her stability.
Andreea Rosca made it into the news for being the youngest player to have ever won the ITF U18 Open in Belgrad at the age of 13. She didn't drop a single set en route.
She reached the doubles final as well next to Miruna Tudor.
Andreea, seeded number 1, reached the Semifinal at Les Petits As in France.
Hopefully she wins the tournament, like Jaqueline Cristian did last year.
Speaking of Jaqueline Cristian has anybody heard anything about her? She hasn't played since fall last year.
Reaching the final already in such convincing manner was a success. I'm pretty sure the nerves also played a role here, because this is really a harsh scoreline for her.
