Kris won the first set against Lara, 63, but fell in the next two, 36 36.
Karo won in a three-set battle against Irena, 64 67(0) 75.  Kiki, next. Karo actually has a 1-0 h2h over her, but that come in a retirement.

Karo  should have been easier against Irena who is in bad form.  But she won overall, that's the most important.  GL against Kiki  
Kris   She's becoming quite a specialist in winning 1st set and then crumbling badly.

Kris served 17 aces but still lost.

Karo lost 1st set 4-6 against Bertens. Was 3-1*up.  Then 3-5* down, managed to break but obviously failed to serve to save her life.

BTW! New rankings with AO results were out on Monday, and... Kris has broken into TOP 100, and even Top 90 as she's #86 this week, while Karo is left behind at #121
