This is what I thought first as well, maybe she is AMPAS member too? And her vote will influence on Oscar results  anyway I am surprised, also maybe she attends at Vanity fair Oscar party because of that

You need to do one commercial amd you are automatically a member. I mean, I assume people are obliged to join/register into the actors' union or something. Plus haven't you heard about how Jennifer Lawrence became a SAG member? It has been all over the web, all she did was star in a MTV promo without even saying a single word.
