Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
Looks like she's getting a hold of things - 2:2 in the 2nd set.

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
1:6, 4:6
Still, not a bad week for Ana at all, winning the doubles title and reaching the final in singles; well done Ana!

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
Ana is playing in this week's $25K in California; she's seeded #6 in singles and #1 (with Coin) in doubles.
In R1 she beat Abaza (WC; #477) easily, 61 61. Likely very tough match in R2, though, against Marino (CH #38 but was out for 7 months last year)
Good luck!

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
Ana will play a qualifier Ishizu (c-h 218, current 371) against whom she never played and I'd really be beyond shocked if Ana would lose this one. Ishizu is a typical overranked Asian player who rarely plays a strong tournament outside of Asia and when she occasionally shows up on 25 and 50k's in Europe or America she usually loses R1 or R2.
In doubles Coin/Vrljic won R1 against Ejdesgaard/Lim 2 & 3. Next up Moore/South.

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
Ana is still in the States, after last week's appearance (sR1/dQF) in Rancho Santa Fe 25k this week she's playing in Surprise, Arizona also at a 25k. She is seeded #6 in singles and defeated her doubles partner Samantha Murray in R1 6:2, 6:4 to face the winner of Elie/(q) Higuchi next, while in doubles they're the top seeds and defeated Moore/South 6:3, 7:6. For a place in the semis they'll play the qualifiers Kuwata/Tanaka.

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
^ In R2, Ana beat Elie 46 61 62. In the QF she plays the #2 seed, Pavlovic. Good luck!
Ana and Murray (#1 seeds) lost in doubles QF surprisingly easily to a pair of Q's, 26 26

Re: Ana Vrljic cheering thread
I really hope that we will see Ana in RG qualifications . . . three weeks until cut off deadline and she is about 30-40 points away. Definitely doable

Ana also has another $25K final last November (the race starts after the previous year's WTA Championships, so it includes November and December). She also has a $25K QF, a $15K SF and a few other scattered results.
But, yes, as the season unfolds, I imagine Ana's race ranking will drop, maybe even out of the top 200.
