Re: Which player's name is toughest for you to pronounce?
One that always gets me is Czink. Is it Shink? Sink? (derogatory term)? Also, Hlavavavavavatzkova.
Funny story, my mom walks in when I'm watching a Pavlyuchenkova match one time.
Mom: Hey! Who's playing?
Me: Oh just some little German girl playing Pavlyuchenkova.
Mom: *Look of horror* Bless you? *Slowly backs away and closes door...*

Yeah, I'm saying on her Tsink with the 'ts'. But usually it's better to translate this in english, just only 's' - Sink.

Re: Which player's name is toughest for you to pronounce?
I sometimes struggle with a few of the Eastern European names that have some consonants together which we never see in English. Those like "Kv" and "Hl" in the Czech names "Kvitova" and "Hlavackova". I can say these of course, but they're probably the "trickiest" ones for me.

Because we don't have that Kv sound in English. So most people need to put a vowel sound in between them to be able pronounce it. Really it's not so hard if you practice it a few times. Just put your lips in a V position while saying K.

Re: Which player's name is toughest for you to pronounce?
To me German and Italian names are quite easy to pronounce for instance "Errani" or "Görges" and in Finnish and Swedish alphabet last two letters are ä and ö. I think German is more logical language to pronounce than English, but the German grammar is more complicated starting with 3 genders (der, das, die) and some other tricky things.
I would say that some French names are more difficult to pronounce because there seem to be lots of letters at the end of the name that disappears somewhere. If Bordeaux was a Finnish city, the letter X would be pronounce as clearly as X (Ks) in the words six or sex.
On the other hand some East European names are just hard to remember correctly like Pavlyuchenkova.

Most people pronounce her first name as it is written in English. However I might be wrong but I think in Germany the e is pronounced as if it was accented. Maybe a german person can correct me on this but I think her name should be pronounced Sabiné.

Re: Which player's name is toughest for you to pronounce?
I'm sure you can not pronounce Szávay correctly.
This is the correct pronunciation: http://translate.google.hu/#hu/en/Sz%C3%A1vay (Let's hear the hungarian version)
