1/7 on BPs.. it has to be said that Na was superb on every BP.. almost like how Maria played them against Petra last year! She lost to the better player today.. On this surface Peak Na is superior to Maria!

I'm not really broken by this result. Unlike last where she I went into the final just knowing she would win, I knew that if Li played even okay she would beat Maria. Mental f-ups from her end is what I was looking for. But I knew if she didn't give them to Maria she'd win. She's a better mover and has fire power. I like some Li Na, so a Li/Stephens final will be almost as satisfying as Maria getting there, because after Maria they're my two favorite players. Take care of your end Sloane.

Quite a disappointing performance by Maria and it showed the level of tennis she's playing is rather 50% off her best. No serve and no angle of shots!!! A lot of balls are in the middle and Na Li put them away easily. Li made her look always a step slower and all Maria could do was retrieving or making unforced errors. Sadly she couldn't change it.
Not having enough matches proves again that you are not ready to play top players. Many games she had game points but still lost them. Break points on Na's serve and lost that with several bad choices of shots. Cuddles to her, good effort making to the semi final in the first year.
I guess we won't see her til Indian Wells.
