Not really. I also like to hate on Mésane.
Oh. Wait. I might have misunderstood. Yeah. It's all about you. Hafdis is a bad tennis player and not really funny. But she'll try to stick around for maybe 7 months this time!

Re: Australian Open Draws and Results [2013]
Singles Results, Quarterfinals Top Half
Alexandra Anastidis def. Anna Kenndal 6/3, 5/7, 10/8
Alex was able to recover from her shattering doubles loss yesterday to take it to the limit and move to the semifinals of the Australian Open with an epic win against Anna.
[3]Alina Patersson def. [11]Luna-Willow Bartoli 6/2, 1/6, 7/5
Alina is almost certain to become the new #1 after this win and ends the hopes of Luna with a close three set loss.

Re: Australian Open Draws and Results [2013]
Doubles Results, Quarterfinals Top Half
[1]Casanova/Taliamanosoko def. Benedetti/R. Torres 7/6(0), 6/4
This was the match that everybody was waiting for as Ruffy and Giusa have been a war of words and armies. It was close in both sets, with constant yells of "Come on!" and "Let's go" while glaring into the opponents eyes. In the end, the best team in the world closed it out in two sets as Regla and Ruflina were the only one to speak at the net (they have a long friendly history). There was no love lost from the other players, because there was none to begin with.
[8]Bartoli/Kartincova def. [3]Cornetsson/Johnson 7/5, 2/6, 6/4
After her heartbreaking singles loss, Luna took the court with Martine in an attempt to defend some major points. In doing so, they end the dreams of Harper and Siri who perform very well at the Grand Slams.

Re: Australian Open Draws and Results [2013]
Mixed Doubles Results, Quarterfinals Top Half
Bothavska/J. Berankis def. Casanova/S. Capriati 1/6, 6/3, 7/5
Miranda's efforts continue to pay off as she takes out Jennifer, who was emotionally drained after her ladies doubles match.
Anastidis/J. Bemelmans def. Felivitch/A. Whitlock 3/6, 7/5, 7/5
Ella suffers her first loss of the event at the hands of Alex who finds herself in the semifinals of the singles and mixed doubles events.

On potentially being Number 1:
It's a pretty exciting and daunting prospect, to be honest. Mainly because I've never been so focused on tennis before and to see that focus paying off like this is scary and extremely fulfilling at the same time. Also, it takes a lot to be a consistent long-term number 1, and for all the controversy surrounding her this tournament, the last truly consistent number 1 was Ruflina. Though it may just have seemed so because of her age. I don't know. How old is she? 90? She was born on the tour, grew up on the tour, had babies (26 of them, to be exact) on tour, and is growing saggy and old on tour as we speak. I wouldn't be surprised if she asks for her casket to be buried underneath Arthur Ashe Stadium.
