^ Yes, not sure if its her NZ ties or that she's a little unknown. It seems the outer outer courts don't seem to build the atmosphere that MCA, courts 2 & 3 do. The Liv Rogowska match vs Doloncs was low key until deep in the 3rd as well.
There's more to life than just being happy.
It also didn't help that they chucked her on Court 7, which is tiny. There seemed to be a lot of interest in the match from people trying to peek through the sides! I could barely catch a glimpse.
I'm sure the match would've had a better atmosphere on Court 6. Although, as louloubelle pointed out, the crowd for Liv wasn't exactly chomping at the bit either (although, yes, they did get more into it in the final set).
Looking forward the biggest issue with Sacha IMO is her need for a heap of matches....she is a confidence player who needs to get a stack of wins at 25 level and then head overseas for a crack at the bigger challengers and wta events....i guess the problem will be how good the wrist is and how hard she can push it during the aussie pro tour series starting next week..
Good luck to the West Aussies in 2013!:
