Not a good loss....Jarmila is scarily good when she's not hitting the back fence, so maybe she had a good day.
I'm hoping Dani hits a purple patch at the start of the year again!

As low as never before (even not in 2004)
New ranking in singles after the AO 13 is No 55.
With Pattaya points coming off and this woman not entering the event in time, to defend her title (maybe she wanted a WC? who knows what's in her mind - really strange and pathetic), she will drop out of Top 70.

Follow the money is usually the best idea. Maybe Pattaya didn't offer enough cash? Looks inexplicable on the face of things.

With that ranking, she will have to start from scratch : either she will enter the QD of big tournaments or she will play MM tournaments ... which isn't bad with her actual form.

I'll die seeing her playing Q in big tournaments. 
This is actually what I hope. Playing more INTLs or failing in Q in big events, just to feel the shame a bit and who knows... She may pick her mind up again. Actually, this is her last hope.
But WC to defend a title you won for 2 years in row? Really Daniela? How pathetic it can be. She should have entered the tournament, weeks ago. (or she did this for getting extra appearance money)

Actually flew back to Vienna before deciding to play in Pattaya. Will be flying out to Thailand tomorrow. |
