There's nothing more awful than talking about yourself. Unless if you're French or Italian or sth. Anywaaaaay.
So my name is Geert, and I live in Gent, Belgium, but spend a lot of time with my boyfriend in Iceland and for work I'm usually a few days per week in Africa. I've also actually lived in a small town in Iceland for a year, and have studied a year in Estonia too. I kinda still speak a bit of Elfish. I work for airline, and try to travel as much as I can. Currently trying to plan a trip to Bolivia. I'm turning 28 soon (31st of March, all donations are very welcome). Besides watching tennis, I enjoy music a lot, from crazy J-pop to alternative rock to eurovision (I even have been blogger a few years, like last year in Baku). Guess that kind of makes me a total poof. But you should all watch it, it's brainless stupid fun. And I try to go to summer festivals in summer, my fave being Pukkelpop. And Iceland Airwaves. But that's a summer festival in winter. because Iceland doesn't really have summer anyway.
You can't get lazier than me. That is my biggest strength! Other than that, just easy going, like to try and dance (some people would just call it jumping) and uhm. I can be very kind if I like you. But only then. If I don't like you, you'll know, I don't wanna pretend, I have to pretend enough in my job.
I used to be a big old Clijsters fan, and now that she's gone I watch tennis more relaxed. Don't have any big faves, but a player from a weird ass country always gets my support. One thing I cannot stand is Wozniacki (  ) though, in my eyes she's been the most lousy number one ever.
Iceland is just amazing. Always love my time there, even though I don't do a lot of touristy things now these days, just spending lazy days with my awesome boyfriend who would totally walk this competition if he'd actually have a glimpse of interest in sports and post here.
My goal is to win this competition as a whole, cause I think I got the special sth. in myself. It's also called awesomeness and hotness. Furthermore, I want peace on earth and I wish I could just be paid by doing nothing. Doing nothing is an art that is highly underrated.

5 Basic Facts:
-I was born on May 20th, so I guess I'm a Taurus/kind of on the cusp for Gemini. Not a horoscope person, but I'm sure some of the weirdos who troll this board would enjoy knowing my "sign" and "personality".
-Im 24 years old.
-Born in Nova Scotia, Canada - have lived here most of my life. Would love to travel, but haven't had the chance to leave North America. Have traveled all across Canada, and to a bunch of places in the States - Missouri, North Carolina, Maine and Massachussets.
-Ottawa and Boston are my favourite cities in the world.
-I'm a huge sports fan; aside from tennis, my favourite sports are NBA (Clippers and Celtics fan), NFL (Dolphins and Saints), NHL (Senators), and all kinds of olympic sports.

5 Childhood Memories:
-My mom making homemade play-doh for me and my brothers, and eating some of it - every time.
-My nanny (grandmother) on my mom's side making me peanut butter balls every time we came to visit.
-Playing baseball, with my dad as the coach - a ton of fun.
-Losing an elementary school spelling bee to a dumbass girl, because I misspelled AUGUST of all words. I'm an awesome speller...it was so embarrassing.
-Seeing the Lion King in theatres about 10x. My parents were sick of taking me, so my uncle, then my aunt, then my grandmother took me.
Ryan challenged Kristen Stewart to a Kristen Stewart impersonation contest and won!
5 Teenage Memories:
-First time! Was with my girlfriend of over a year, in high school. It was great, we dated for 3 years. First time was to an All American Rejects song, sadly.
-I visited the Rogers Cup in Montreal in 2006, the first and only live tennis tournament I've been to. Saw Hingis reach the final, and lose to Ivanovic - who I hated then.
-Joining Sigma Chi - big part of my life, has given me lots of leadership and philanthropy opportunities.
-Starting my UnderGrad in Journalism.
-Breaking up with said 3-year girlfriend, because she cheated on me. Good memory because it was the kickstart of me sleeping with every girl I could, like a fuck spree, for about a year.
Ryan has "met" Camilla Belle. 
Top 3 Adult Memories [So Far]:
-Finishing my undergrad, graduating near the top of my class.
-Moving OUT of my parents house, and getting my own class. Haven't looked back, its been great.
-Starting Law School - big accomplishment, very proud of myself blah blah blah.

Of all time - Hingis. Current - Woz, Ivanovic, Sharapova, Azarenka. Mens - Rafa, Novak, Raonic, Murray, Tsonga, Llodra.
Ryan got to meet his tennis idol, Martina Hingis at a club. Neither can recall the meeting but pics proved it happened.

I'm a third year student at the London College of Fashion, studying BA Fashion Journalism. I've lived in London for over three years with plans to relocate to New York upon graduation, to pursue a career in magazine Art Direction. I'm very OCD, and a bit of a perfectionist which is both a flaw and a strength. I have a really dry sense of humour, and if you give me more than a glass of Bombay Sapphire I can recite Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart word-for-word. I'm a very visual person and I'm incredibly interested in illustration and fashion photography. Cityscapes and Scandinavia are my biggest aesthetic draws, particularly with my style as I wear a lot of COS, Weekday, ACNE and H&M.
Tennis
I first started to watch and participate in tennis during 2005 after visiting Wimbledon at age 13, now I barely miss a tournament. My favourite player - if you don't already know, is Maria Sharapova. I find her tennis career truly inspirational. I'm also a big fan of Novak Djokovic and, at times, a closet patriotic when cheering for Andy Murray at Wimbledon. My favourite tennis legends have to be Steffi Graf + Roger Federer (though the latter isn't retired, he is undeniably a legend).

I've only been active on TennisForum for just under a year now, but I love it. Despite some of the crazy arguments, trolls and basic fuckery, I don't know where I would go to discuss the sport I love if TF didn't exist. Especially SS, a big shout out to my friends there [Jamie, Mark, Craig, Chrissie-Fan, Debby and Jo]
Interests
I'm a freelance fashion illustrator [one of my designs above] and I'm really passionate about graphic design, and in particular, magazine art direction. I love editorial design and typography. I love to play tennis [I have a mean lasso forehand] and running is my favourite past-time, particularly in Hyde Park. My favourite food is Thai, there's this great restaurant called Chaophraya, where I go when I come home for the holidays, they serve the best peanut chicken in the world. My favourite book is a tie between The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Great Gatsby. I can't pick my favourite film because there is just too many! I listen to a lot of electronic music, but my favourite artists are Florence + the Machine, Robyn, M83, The Smiths, David Bowie and The xx.
Places
In my lifetime I've been lucky enough to travel to many places. My all time favourite trips have been to New York and Stockholm. New York in February isn't such a great idea, but it's such an insane city, and if you read before, that's what I want to live post graduation. Stockholm on the other hand is really industrial, has amazing stores, and a lot of attractive people. My type if definitely tall Scandi guys
Ambitions
To be happy and healthy.
Then to live in a penthouse in New York working as an art editor for the likes of American Vogue, Elle, GQ or Vanity Fair.

Probablly not many of you heard about him. Kinda unknown on tennis forum but anyway. He got 3 nominations and he is going to compete for mister TF 2013. Matevž, 18 years old (soon 19) student from Škofljica in Slovenia. Who is he? Let me introduce TF mister Slovenia 2013. Even though he was really busy with all preparations for contest he found some time for Slovenian Tennis Forum Press Agency (STFPA) and answered some questions about him and his life.
As not many of TF posters don't know you – how would you describe yourself?
Yeah, I'm not really famous on here. How would I describe myself? I'm kinda normal teenager who likes partying, playing and watching tennis and hanging out with friends. Soon I'm going to celebrate 19th birthday so the best gift you can give me is mister TF title (laugh). I live with my family. I have 2 sisters (one is my twin). I have to say I also have 2 rats as my pets. They are too adorable.
So, you won't say anything about your sexuality? There were some romours you like ummm … dicks, you know … in your … you know!
Oh, yeah. I'm not going to lie. I'm kinda out as gay. Almost everyone who know me know that I like guys. I'm not going to deny it.
What do you do in your life? Any plans for future?
It's my last year in high school. Still as we are on tennis related page I can proudly say I'm writing for one Slovenian tennis portal. Anyway, after I finish this year I want to study Spanish at university. In future I see myself somewhere abroad. I like Slovenia but it's too small for me.
So, you like big or how?
Yeah, I do. I prefer bigger countries. And maybe something else too (laugh).
Okey, let's behave now. As we are on tennisforum you have to like some players, right? Who are your faves on tour?
One and only – Maria Sharapova – she is my queen. I don't imagine myself after she will retire. I don't miss any of her matches. I'm waking up in middle of nights if needed that I can see that perfection on court. Still – there are also other players I like. Mona Barthel, Angelique Kerber, Monica Puig, Camila Giorgi, Polona Hercog, Sloane Stephens and some others.
Let's ask you opossite now – which players you don't like so much?
My least favorite player is Caro Wozniacki. Still can't believe she was number 1 in past. I hope she will be out of top 100 soon. There where she belongs. I also dislike Rodionova sisters. These bitches were making fun of my idol. Hopefully they'll die soon.
Do you think you have better forehand as Caro then? Do you practise any other sport?
I mean, everyone has better forehand as she does. It's sure thing. I'm not practising anymore but in past I was training athletics. For 7 years. I won national championship twice on 1000 meters and once on 600 meters. But I stopped. Being an athlete is really hard.
What are your expections about this contest?
Honestly I don't expect a lot. I know this contest is more than just look. It's more about being famous on forum, being popular, being good person. I'm not any of this things. Still I hope for fair battles and we will see what's going to happen.
Let's say that miracles can happen – and you win contest. What would you do as mister TF?
World peace is probablly to cliche to say, right? Anyway, I would do everything that Sharapova would double bagel Serena in final of Roland Garros, that Caro would lose all matches in future and I would of course take all the best from this title (read: made out with majority of contestants).

But really, I was happy just to be nominated.

Hello there! Just getting another layer of tan for photos for the competition.
As many of you have released, there has been a major absence in the competition thus far and I'm of course talking about the absence of last year's Bronze medalist and recipient of numerous awards, Ryan. I'm here to clear the air of any rumors or gossip that may be going on that Ryan doesn't care about the competition enough to make himself available. I'm here to say that's 100% true.
Ryan has recently made a trip to New York City, while on this trip, Ryan met with the protesters at Wall Street who are protesting the corporate fat cats who make their money off of the misery of the underclasses. As a future lawyer, Ryan is going to be a champion of justice to this very people! For the old, the young, the sick, and of course, the children! Ryan believes that the children are our future. Let's give a huge hand for Ryan!!
Also in this competition is my newest client, Egalite. He's quickly become the new fan favorite and it's no surprise. Flipping through his portfolio, I had myself perplexed at the feelings that emerged...
Obviously the feeling is contagious because he kicked the crap out of everyone's favorite popper popping party boy, VeeJJ. There's plenty more to come from Monsoon PR and from Ryan & Nick themselves so keep your eyes peeled and your hands above the desk!!

After a long period of negotiations, pedropt is now working with delicatecutter, one of the most accomplished Suicide Tennis players of all time. The sometimes French, sometimes American, sometimes Citizen of the World poster is trying to claim the Mister TF title for the first time in his career.

Semifinals
[4]Ryan vs Geertvg
Neither contestant has lost a match in making it to the semifinals.
Ryan is the only seed left in the competition and also the only contestant remaining from the inaugural 2012 edition of Mr TF, where he finished a respectable 3rd.
With young_gunner913 at his side he is once again a formidable opponent, with the whole package and a host of celebrity friends . He rose to the top of the Mashabator group in the Round Robin stage before defeating VeeJJ in the first quarterfinal.
Can he make it a step further in this years edition and reach the final?
Geertvg is competing in his first Mr TF competition. At first he was unsure whether to enter or not but was persuaded and has really gone from strength to strength during this competition, aided by his publicist Adrian. Certain posters are not surprised though Winning a close match with delicatecutter sealed his place in the quarterfinals and he keeps on moving forward, defeating DragonFlame in the process. Can this once unknown quantity advance further?
The contestants have never faced each other before, but this is an interesting contrast of styles.
Who has your vote in the first semifinal?
The Cool Canadian or the High-Flying Belgian?
Tenis Srbija vs egalite
Tenis Srbija is one of 2 contestants reaching the semifinals after emerging from the Williams group where he lost a close match to Geertvg. He once again came through a close match in the quarterfinals against Fantasy Hero to reach this stage. This is his first year entering the Mr TF contest, and he has been helped by his publicist sombrerero loco (even though he never voted for him ). Can his many fans push him one step further, to the final? Then maybe even the title?
egalite had no hesitation in joining Mt TF 2013 I think the posters of TF can tell why! I'm sure most were already familiar with his appearance, but now they can see him as an all-rounder too. He only had to play one match in Round Robin, which he won. Then he came through his quarterfinal against MaSharp to reach this stage. Like Ryan, egalite also has young_gunner913 as his publicist. I hope there is no friction if both reach the final

So it is Geert vs Luka for the title of Mr TF 2013!
So the votes have been cast and we now only have 2 contestants left vying for the coveted Mr TF title.
Both have been great sports throughout the competition and really got into the spirit of the Mr TF competition. Interestingly they already faced each other already in the RR stage. Will the outcome be reversed? I think we all know a lot more about both contestants now. Both were hesitant about joining the competition but have gone from strength to strength and really opened up to their adoring public. I think we can all agree that they both have looks and personality in abundance and either would make a great winner
Both came through tough semifinals, with Geert edging Ryan and Tenis Srbija taking out egalite.
Equally as devoted as their fans are their publicists, with Adrian and sombrerero loco doing a great job of pushing their clients into the final.
So who is your pick for Mr TF 2013?

Not at all. I think the me not really being known on this forum will play a bigger role now. It is the final. Even though I've been around since 2006, mostly posting in result messages, and playing fantasy games on and off (I have the tendency to sometimes disappear for a while), and just a few other non tennis messages. I'd mostly disappear when Clijsters had another of her awful matches and I couldn't bear to read all the nasty stuff written about her here. :  : But yeah, I'm not really known here, so the final will be very hard to win for me.
If you won Mister TF 2013, how would you further your TF career here on the forums?
Well it's been a fun experience already, interacting more than just "Way to go Dasha! Keep it up "  The chance of me disappearing from FWTT has become less now, and I've been reading other messages more. Have a good bond with my publicist, so I'll for sure spend more time on here in the future, whatever result, than I have been doing in the past. I know there's 1 participant in particular that tries to shade me just because I'm not known enough, even in his bio, which I do think is pretty sad since I have been around for years. Some years more active than others, but it's not like I'm some French dumbass hating everything or posting pics of other people in a competition. Anyway. I promise to stick around. How 'bout that!

Ah. Well. Thanks people. I don't know. Speeches are weird. All I want to say is thanks to everyone who voted for me. I have no idea how I've gotten this far (little confession, I am low in self confidence, which is why I initially refused to take part), y'all are crazy but you make me smile. And again, I'd never imagined I *could* get this far, especially when all the other bios came out. You're a very tasteless but sweet bunch of people.
Can I take a nap on your furry chest? 
If yo get a written permission from Sverrir Rúnar Guðæundsson, I have no problem with that...
