Yes, Isner's game is GOAT compared to Milos His game seems suited to all surfaces. Though statistically his worst GS is Wimbledon. The irony

I don't want to see her near to making a GS final again I always get nervous of her yearly GOAT run at Wimbledon. Lisicki as GS champion is a thought I can't bear.

When Serena retires, it could happen. Petra is becoming a huge mess and Lisicki can beat Masha and Vika on grass. I'd expect Laura and Lisicki to have their chances in 2 years perhaps.

I would love for Laura, but Sabine Just no. I'd rather Petra won 7 Wimbledons. I wonder when Laura will win a title? She should have beaten Hseih last year. She's doing well in slams, but she still has a really long way to go. She needs to learn how to play against the consistent players. Movement still needs to improve & cut down the wild errors & DFs. She's reasonably tough mentally.

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2
I think generation younger than Maria (Sharapova) is lost. The future of tennis is Robson/Stephens' generation. Lisicki as member of lost generation will never win slam. Radwanska will never win slam or she will repeat Schiavone's success. Some big win just before retirement. Wozniacki is gameless so she will become the most successful journey-woman of all time. Azarenka still has a chance to win more titles, but with Serena in her big form and Maria reaching her peak form it's quite impossible for Victoria to stay in TOP2. Although I want her to win with Serena and then losing to Maria in final of AO.
Polish commentator during Schiavone/Kvitova's match: Yes,I think they both passed their peaks.

I expect her first title to be Premier title, she doesn't seem that motivated when she plays MMs.

Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol2
 News on serbian website MONDO:
Quote:
...Šarapova je do sada nanizala još ubedljivije pobede: Olga Pušakova (6:0, 6:0), Misaki Doi (6:0, 6:0), (25) Venus Vilijams (6:1, 6:3), Kirsten Flipkens (6:1, 6:0)... Sledeća je (19) Ekarerina Makarova.
Četvrta nositeljka Anješka Radvanska takođe se domogla četvrtfinala bez izgubljenog seta, ali nije beležila ni približno ubedljive pobede poput druge i treće na svetu. Radvanska je pobeđivala Bojanu Babušić 7:5, 6:0, Irinu-Kameliju Begu 6:3, 6:3, Hiter Vodson 6:3, 6:1 i našu (13) Anu Ivanović 6:2, 6:4.
|
Pušakova = Pushakova = Puchkova
Hiter Vodson = Hitter Vodson = Heather Watson
I sent a comment to MONDO and said about errors in players' names but they ignored it and have same ignorant article whole day

Sounds like one of TF's [insert player here] has passed their peak and will never win a slam again/be slamless.
Agatha is capable of snatching a slam or two IMO. But she needs a weak draw like at Wimbledon for it to happen. Caroline should have beaten Svetlana. So many wasted chances, but she has lost he main assert consistency and mental strength. I was disappointed she lost. There hasn't been a Woz/Vika match up for a long time & I was interested in that. For awhile now I've been secretly rooting for her by default because I am a stan for Rory Zoja will disown me

Very true. Too many wasted matches at MM level. Ironic that her first SF was MM on clay She hasn't done anything at Premiers yet. I will be interested to see how she does in IW/Miami.

Great choice. Now you only need to start rooting for Ana and Vika.

When I saw that she decided to be patient, I was like: cool, now she's gonna make even more UEs.
