Will any player replace Petra???

I don't think Mirjana is interested in FC at all.
Wish it was not that way but...her choice, not to blame.
If she wanted to play nobody could stop her anyway.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Donna will find herself in a completely new situation - to be the team leader A lot of pressure on young shoulders, that's for sure, but it could actually do a lot of good for her confidence as well. Yes, Jurak would be a good replacement considering she is not defending any major points until later in the month and would be an amazing help for doubles. Savic is probably out of the question cause she's already in Australia getting ready for tournaments and to cancel all that off and come to Israel would be asking for a lot. Vrljic wouldn't be of much help ATM due to her recent (in)activity and questionable form.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
any news on the replacement? without martic, we should still beat georgia handily and i think we can beat belarus as well. austria will be tough, but paszek isn't good on hard courts...

Paszek is not playing, according to ITF; Meusburger is their #1.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Btw, I haven't heard anything about a replacement for Martic either. Hopefully it's Jurak, but in case she can't make it, I think Vrljic would be the next best thing all things considered. But next week she is defending some points (a semi of a 25k) so I'm not sure she'll be available.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Too bad that Poland awaits in the play-off.
But making the play-off would be still awesome.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Yes, winning the group would be great as well, as it would be a step forward compared to past seasons. But on a side note guys, Paszek has been erased from the Austrian list, but Petra hasn't been removed from ours I guess they're just waiting to find a replacement before they confirm the change.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Just to stay at this level, for 1-2 years more is good. Many young girls coming through and forget Lucic, she is not the team player. Petra is needed, though she needs time for recover and training, and career progress. Austria are not so great, Georgia are okay and Belarus will be good. Donna lost to one of the Belarus players last year in a bad way, so this does not mean well.

Re: Fed Cup 2013
Well if Govortsova is out as well, that certainly helps us. Still, there'll be some nasty draws for the youngsters against experienced defensive players like Meusburger, where Iva's presence will play an essential role.
Btw, anyone knows if there'll be live streaming?

Re: Fed Cup 2013
I heard yes for live streaming. One in the big site, firstrow, then there is a local company streaming it? Got to check.
Belarus are strong not the best, still good. Unless the matches are right and even, all matters in doubles.
