Good stuff from Woz, even the forehand wasn't terrible. Vekic is really talented, definitely one to watch.

Good effort Donna! 
Brutal temperatures out there and I think that was a factor for the inexperienced player. Woz did play better than round one.
Anyway I think Donna has still shown why so many are excited about her potential. Would be great to see her play Caro in more comfortable temperatures.

Really? I didn't think Woz was impressive at all. I don't know if she can last another round playing like that. Serena, Maria, Vika, Venus, or Bartoli would have beaten Vekic love and love.
Vekic is adorable and I love her game!

I thought Caroline played well...at least in comparison to her first round.
Vekic's future on the tour looks promising. Loads of talent.

Vekic has SO SO SO much potential. Seriously though, if Vekic had been 1-2 years older and had a better preparation/gameplan i could've seen her take this match. I'm impressed, if i were a coach i'd LOVE LOVE to work with this girl. Watching that i'm itching with joy to see her improve!
PLS PLS PLS let her have a good coach, if she has one this girl will be top10 without a doubt.
Good aspects:
Decent mover
Great Forehand
Good pace on the serve
Willing to finish points(she came to the net a few times, hit good smashes and was willing to hit a drivevolley)
Things to improve:
Physique/strength(which will come with time)
Backhandtechnique when pinned down in the corner, her footwork gets sloppy there.
Service%
Most of all: GAMEPLAN/Court Awareness! I felt like she wasn't prepared well for this match, she could've won more games really. She's got the shots. At certain stages it looked like she was just going through the motions and not being aware of what she was doing. If she gets that in check she will be so much better!
Tactics: She needs to know when to take risk and when to play %tennis. During rallies as well as shotselection on the serve. She doesn't know the plays of this high level yet either obviously. That just comes with experience.
You can't expect a 16-year old to have that mentally in check, that's something you really need the experience for, the mental side. I just hope her coach keeps working on her mind, not just the shots. I'm a bit worried about that.
Other then that! WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW So happy to finally see some really rough diamond. Makes me really happy!

Caro played okay up until 4-1 in the 2nd, then she started missing out of nowhere. Needs to get these mental lapses under control.
Vekic has a good forehand and that's about it. At least that's what she showed today.

Vekic could be a good player, i need to see more of her to decide. Caroline played ok, needs to play much better next round.
