Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
That would be awful if she lost in R1. Her second round is even easier though, either Peer or Panova (who I always think plays and looks like her ).

I agree - Panova is a young Nadia.
Very tricky first round. But she's in Kvitova's, so it could have been worse.
Possible (I know I'm looking forward) QF against Serena
I just watched the doubles final from Sydney, Nadia is looking fitter and fitter. Great off season.
So excited for this year.

Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
This is Nadia's section by the way:
Nadia Petrova (RUS) [12] vs. Kimiko Date-Krumm (JPN)
Shahar Peer (ISR) vs. Alexandra Panova (RUS)
Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor (ESP) vs. Bojana Jovanovski (SRB)
Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (CRO) vs. Lucie Safarova (CZE) [17]
Nadia is tied 1-all with Kimiko and on h/c.
What's going heavily in Nadia's favor, however, is that Kimiko's only advanced out of a Slam 1st round twice since her comeback in 2009.

I think Kimiko will be the toughest opponent of hers....if she can get past the first round, she has an easy 2nd round imo, and then it could be Lucie in the R32 who has started the year terribly. Then possibly Kvitova in the R16 who is also in terrible form.

Nadia vs Safarova would be amazing. But knowing both they will probably bomb out in R1

12. Nadia Petrova: She's still dangerous (as usual) and, at 30, has some accrued wisdom. Petrova is not a threat to win but a good bet to reach the middle weekend.

Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
26 06. Gives Kimiko her first AO main draw win since 1996.
Maybe Nadia will beg Ricardo to come back

Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
Nadia such a mess
Pathetic loss. Never in doubt. I said it would happen. Losing 2-6 0-6 to Date is very embarrassing. Nadia defeated herself. Date just had to keep the ball in court and let headcase Nadia self-destruct. Absolutely disastrous performance from Nadia. No serve. Extremely poor footwork/movement. 9 Winners, 38 UEs = -29. A new low. One of her worst matches ever. Anything positive ? No. I lost every belief I had in Nadia. She will never change. One of the most frustrating players ever.

No idea what to think about this. But after the split Nadia has hit rock bottom

Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
Got a first round win in the doubles today, and she's seeded 5th in the mixed.
Glad she's playing mixed, she wants that slam any way she can get it.

Re: Nadia Petrova 2013
Lost to Venus & Serena, 2 & 3 in R3. I was hoping for a better scoreline that that.
Plays R2 of mixed today.
