Really good start, mostly because there was no point where she became a flurry of double faults for no reason. She seemed relaxed afterwards too which is lovely to see. Really excited about her prospects here

I'll be quick. Maria  Did not expect a double bagel  Sure, Puchkova is as useless as they get, but once Pova caught her rhythm, her opponent was doomed. Overall, I was extremely happy with the performance, if I've followed it properly, I think she even added some variety to the serve on the Ad side (although she still usually sticks to the T line). Anyway, we all know what happened last time Maria double bagelled someone in 1R of a Slam
