Certainly, she is gifted by loads of talent.

If she had the looks of Sorana and the health of others then she could really become a super star, unfortunately in our fickle world she will always have to rely on people who try to get to know her better and don't base their judgements on fugly games and fluke runs etc.

I hope she will kick ass on clay this year.

Pretty stetty strong line-up for a 10k tournament, to be honest. I have fully confidence in her choices. She will use her SRs when she's ready for it and she showed that she can still make it competitive against players around 200 even on indoor surfaces.

The thing that makes me much sadder is that Elena Bogdan despite not being injured must go back to 10k level. She is certainly a lost talent.

Last week I had a chat with the man who trained Elena during a period of five years in her beginnings. He said that what she has achieved is the most she could do given her talent. Her main problem is that she is too slow and she cannot put herself in a good position for hitting the ball. Sadly, but it's seems that this is the true. Sorry for off topic.

As about Alex, it appears that she tries an easy start on her favorite surface, clay. Maybe it's better this way and she will be in form for clay season.

2 possibilities:

Either she will storm through the whole field and despite not being at 100% physical fitness, she already showed in her very first come back match against that Chinese that she can still dismiss your ordinary 10k player in an hour of time, so she won't lose much energy.

She will struggle after some matches, because her lack of match practice and fitness are still more of a problem than we thought.
