I haven't seen the film or read the book but here the book has a much better ending.

yeh I did
i usually NEVER do that when deciding between a film adapted from a book or a book adapted from a film.
but oddly enough it helped me to visualise everything whilst i was reading which really helped. i agree with you on the book ending also, prior to the epilogue i was reading and thinking...'omg he hasn't had a breakdown like i remember' and then i flicked a few blank pages after part four and it was there
recommended read for everyone

Re: Off Topic....Anything Goes vol3
The only film I've watched before reading the book was Gone With The Wind. It's actually good though because they are so different, well everything significant to plot is identical but so much of the other stuff is changed. Sometimes I think you can get too caught up in the differences if you've read a book prior although at the same time, if the film is legitimately good then it should hold up on it's own regardless.

Re: Off Topic....Anything Goes vol3
Taking a quick break from all the studying. Tough day, and tomorrow is going to be even tougher. So many things to study I'm one of those people who needs to repeat everything aloud, while walking around the house. So it's quite annoying for everybody when my exams are coming up

^I haven't seen the film yet and really want to see it but have heard that the book is very good too would you recommend that I read it before I see the movie?

Funnily enough, haven't read the book. The movie is the greatest one ever produced, obviously. I have read those sequels written by another author, though. Where Scarlett moves to Ireland.
