Re: Kiki Bertens
Credits to Bertens!, Gets a bad line call to go down 4-5 (mini break) & comes out and plays 3 perfect points, mentally tough. Come on Kiki, take the third now!

Re: Kiki Bertens
Lost 16 76(5) 26...
Had a linecall against her on breakpoint for her down 2-4* in the 3rd, lost the game and then lost her serve.
She also had a breakpoint in the 1st game of the 3rd set but didn't take it.
She fought hard but just to many UE's, she had like 60 or so Some unbelievable winners too but thats not enough against Hampton who played pretty solid.

Re: Kiki Bertens
Kiki will have to rush to Sydney Q now, playing tomorrow already against Misaki Doi, planned as the 4th match after 10:00 am and not before 15:00.
(5)Kiki Bertens (NED) v Misaki Doi (JPN)
Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) v (wc)Storm Sanders (AUS)
Melinda Czink (HUN) v Madison Keys (USA)
Camila Giorgi (ITA) v (10)Jamie Hampton (USA)
Hampton also in her quarter, but I doubt Hampton will make it in time to Sydney so I guess she will withdraw.

Re: Kiki Bertens
Lost 3 & 0 to Doi
I think she barely had enough time to make it in time and couldnt rest really well to prepare for this match.

Re: Kiki Bertens
AO draw:
Kerber[5] vs. Svitolina
Hradecka vs. Bertens
Hradecka will be tough for Kiki, still not an impossible R1.
GL Kiki

Re: Kiki Bertens
Hradecka is a bit up and down, if she serves well she can make life tough for Kiki but on the other hand the plexicushion favours Kiki I'd say.
Kiki can win if she plays well

You are right. I have seen matches from Hradecka where she was serving so well. Other matches she wasn't able to pull the ball in the court. 50% match for me

Her match against Kuznetsova was pretty good, except from the 1st set.
