Selbst eine Dushevina sollte derzeit kein Problem sein für Goerges Die Russin muss man "nur" schnell üerpowern und ihre beste Jahre hat sich längst hinter sich.

Dushevina sollte Görges eigentlich liegen, da wird sie selbst nicht unter Druck gesetzt, muss eben ihre Fehler in Grenzen halten und ordentlich servieren, dann sollte das klappen.

Malek hat verloren, nicht überraschend, aber doch schade, war recht eng, aber 3. Runde in der Q war schon OK, eben das was man von Tatjana erwarten kann...

Irgendwie bin ich mittlerweile doch recht skeptisch, was die Auslosung angeht. Da liegen eigentlich sehr viele potentielle Stolpersteine im Draw.
Besonders um Barthel-Pervak und ehrlich gesagt auch Görges-Pironkova (R 2; wahrscheinlich schlimmer als Stosur^^) mach ich mir Sorgen. Lisicki sehe ich 50:50. Eigentlich hat nur Kerber ein wirklich gutes Draw erwischt.
Ich hoffe aber einfach mal, dass die Damen besser abschneiden als ich es schwarzmale.

Es geht nicht nach Ranking? Ich hätte jetzt gedacht, dass sie als höchstgesetzte Verliererin in der letzten Quali-Runde als erste dran sei.

dann wurde das geändert, die letzten jahre wurden die 4 höchstplazierten verliererinnen der letzten qualirunde in einen lostopf geworfen... das prinzip hatte uns meistens kein glück gebracht...

....Damit verpasst Tatjana, trotz der zwei guten Siegen im Vorfeld, ihre vierte Hauptfeldteilnahme in Melbourne.

Dennoch kann sie sich noch Hoffnungen machen über die Lucky-Loser Regelung (Lucky Loser Nr. 2) ins Hauptfeld zu kommen.

glaube ich auch nicht, mir ist gerade nichts von krankheiten/verletzungen bekannt...sah bei olympia mit dem ganzen nachgerutsche noch ganz anders aus...

AF bleibt aus deutscher Sicht absolute Pflicht, alles andere wäre katastrophal. Man sollte nicht vergessen, dass die US Open größtenteils schon blamabel waren.

Bei Kerber sicherlich, aber bei den anderen? Barthel und Görges treffen wahrscheinlich in R3 auf höher gerankte Spielerinnen, Lisicki und Beck sogar schon in R1.

Eine Deutsche würde reichen. Sollte es aber keine schaffen, wäre der Abwärtstrend im deutschen Damentennis seit letztem Sommer weiter intakt.

Und Lisicki ist ganz alleine selbst schuld, dass sie nicht gesetzt ist. Ich habe hier tagelang gepredigt, sie solle kleine Turniere nach den US Open spielen, um mal ein paar Punkte zu holen. Hatte sie ja anscheinend nicht nötig. Mit Wozniacki hat sie noch eine sehr leichte gesetzte Spielerin bekommen. Sie hätte auch Azarenka, Sharapova oder Williams bekommen können.
