I would for real be all good in terms of career accomplishments. The Career Slam is obviously amazing, but I want her to have more than "just" one of each, and pulling off the RU/Champion double consecutively two different times would just be a testament to her desire and her resilience.

Does anyone know if AO have the Wimbledon tradition where defending champion plays second day in the women's. I want to know what day she'll be playing. The second day would suit me better.

I think the defending champion usually plays on the first day, so Maria will play on Day 2.

I'm so excited bout this tournament  .
It will either make my week or break it . As long as she reaches the QF I'm fine with it if she loses earlier I'll be spending the rest of the days of the tournament in my office thinking about how she could have gone further  . |

I wish we'd had some sort of update on how she's getting on, like whether she's serving at full speed yet, etc. The pessimist in me is still terrified that a couple of days before the tournament she'll find out the injury is much more serious than she thought and she'll have to drop out

Well, I am quite pessimistic as well, but if there are no her various practice photos it doesn't mean she only drills one thing, she stated that had started to practice her serving back in Brisbane...moreover we will get more pics since cameramen now can take more photos because practicing became free public starting today.

The dominance of Serena in the last few months has made me so pessimistic about everybody else's chances of winning slams But Maria can win. Let's start believing it!
