I was contacted by a married man (again ) via the social app (Grindr ) today and it irked me beyond words. I just don't understand. I, of all people, know that I am not perfect, but sleeping with a married man is something that I find deeply detestable. I could never aid someone in being disloyal to their spouse. Am I a prude? Does anybody else feel this way? How could someone desecrate such a loving/trusting union that is marriage?

No, you are not a prude, and there is at least one other person on this board feels the same way. Adultery is wrong, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I try not to judge, and at the end of the day I think you might be placing too much importance on the act of sex. On the other hand, I just don't understand why someone who is married would need more love, you know? At that point aren't you just being greedy?

Married men make up about 40% of Grindr/Growlr/Scruff/Gay.com/etc. apps. And well over 50% of Craigslist and online sex sites are married men or men on the DL. That's just how it is. Unfortunately, people still don't feel comfortable coming out, and this is what they do, but it's wrong to drag innocent parties into that.

If they don't tell me beforehand or lie about being in a relationship with a woman and I only find out when we meet I just go the whole 'I could never live like that, living a lie etc etc' to piss them off.

Some people do have a married man fetish, I've never been with one myself so I can't really say. I mean really and truly you can say all you like but you just don't know until you're in that situation.

I bet you've never been married - quickest, surest way to kill off your sex life! It's why so many married people cheat, with women and men! It's always made me wonder why no one ever tells us when we're young that after time the sex wanes, instead of keeping the fantasy going about eternal romantic love.

On topic, I feel sorry for all the women who have married and given children to men who are secretly gay. It was rife several years ago and the situation only improves when people are free to be their true selves in society. If we all accepted that homosexuality is as normal as heterosexuality and that it has been around since humans, then we wouldn't have people feeling they need to enter into sham marriages.

I do hope all the people cheating or helping others to cheat will be cheated on as well ,now or in the future, by the person they love the most and I do hope their heart will be broken in so many pieces, they would prefer kill themselves rather than living anymore.
