I remember in her run to the US Open final back in '09, it really wasn't great  In fact, I remember Kuznetsova hitting returns winners off of Woz 1st serves at will in the match they played at that tournament.
I stand by that Woz only had a good serve for the US Open Series onwards in 2010 (and even then, while it was decent it was hardly what you'd call a weapon, certainly not 'one of the best 1st serves on tour'  ). Even as early as Australia in 2011 it had reverted back to its usual puffball state.

I remember it was actually very good in Australia and Miami last year. Serena didn't get to BP until Caro serve for the match.

I mean she's not Serena but I always thought her serve was pretty decent. Not great by any means but above average
Kuznetsova also played a GOAT first set in that 09 USO match. She hit amazing shots throughout that match, in fact.
