Sydney: The hunt for points continues
2012 Result: QF Loss to Kvitova
Singles Main Draw
[4] Li vs. McHale
Q vs. Hantuchova
Safarova vs. Q
Zheng vs [6] Stosur
Well, could be a lot worse in such a stacked draw. Li is a toss-up but at least is the kind of player Daniela always has a shot at, and Stosur usually sucks when playing in Australia. The qualifier is nearly as dangerous as anyone given how high the cut-off is.

Re: Sydney: The hunt for points continues
Yup not a horrible draw but her last match in Brisbane worries me. Hope she's fit, confident, and ready to go.

Playing doubles with Görges too.
Decent draw but who knows with Dani.

Ayumi Morita in R1. So that's okay I guess. 4-0 H2H
Oh, and they play today, second on Court 5 so no stream.

A near-perfect first set, 6-1 with no break points faced, and then she loses the second set and is now in a battle in the third. This is becoming a worrying habit.

Lost 6-1 3-6 3-6. 9 DF and only 2 aces. She's got big problems.

NID
This is how the season gonna be. Maybe a couple of good sets but then they will all turn into bad losses. This is a bad resault, in every way you choose to face it.
I think guys, there is no Daniela left Do not feel bad about it!
The Top 6 win over Errani may be the highlight of the season!

Re: Sydney: The hunt for points continues
I barely even care who she draws in Melbourne, it hardly even matters. She could draw Azarenka in Round 1 and have her her once-a-year fantastic match, she could draw some mug qualifier and play like...this. Who the hell knows anymore?
