As far as Venus seeding - doesn't Jankovic loose points because she hasnt defended her Brisbane points. Shes going to loose 120 points which will drop her below Venus??
Also Kaia Kanepi doesnt look like shes defending her points. She won Brisbane last year so will loose 470 points
As far as I am concerned she will be 24
19 Kaia Kanepi 1905 (-470 = 1435)
22 Jelena Jankovic 1751 (-120 = 1631)
23 Yanina Wickmayer 1680
24 Venus Williams 1650
Even if Venus is bypassed by Pavlyuchenkova and Zakapolova, it doesnt matter, she will still be seeded 24
unless I have missed something, someone please tell??

No, Jankovic isn't losing any points. She's still at 1751. The ranking is a best-16 system, and losing Brisbane points didn't have any effect on her.
Jankovic's ranking is:
AO (280) + RG (100) + Wimbledon (5) + USO (160) + IW (5) + Miami (5) + Madrid (5) + Beijing (140) + Tokyo (70) + Doha (1)
Those are all the mandatory events factored into her ranking. 4 slams, 4 premier mandatories, and Jankovic's best two Premier 5 results. 10 events in total.
Jankovic's next best 6 results are/were:
Dubai (200) + Birmingham (200) + Dallas (200) + Kuala Lumpur (130) + Copenhagen (130) + Brisbane (120)
Jankovic's 17th best result was San Diego (120), which replaced her Brisbane points for a net loss of zero.

Re: Venus Whips Out the Water Color and Blue Hair To Claim Daphne
Good luck to Venus at the AO! I'm praying she draws either Errani or Stosur for her R3 match. Stosur might not even be in the tournament anymore by that point. Stosur is in the top 8, right? Or am I making this up
Serena, Vika, and Sharapova would be a nightmare.

Don't worry, I will be!
Omg I can't wait! I hope that I can see a couple of their doubles matches as well! (If they play? I assume they will?)

Serena said in her press conference after winning Brisbane that she and Venus had entered the doubles!

Enjoy the matches xr6turbo!
My brother's moving to Melbourne on Tuesday. He'll probably be going to the Open this weekend or next. He has very little interest in tennis.
Hope Venus draws Errani!!!!!

Re: Venus Whips Out the Water Color and Blue Hair To Claim Daphne
Venus could even get Kvitova and I wouldn't be mad, since she seems to be out of form and Venus beat her when she was just coming back.

Re: Venus Whips Out the Water Color and Blue Hair To Claim Daphne
I don't worry about the draw too much these days. If Venus is playing well, she will win. She's proven that numerous times before, and I'm sure she will again.

My order of preference for the top 8:
1. Errani
2. Kvitova
3. Radwanska
4. Kerber
5. Maria
6. Vika
7. Na
8. Serena.

Re: Venus Whips Out the Water Color and Blue Hair To Claim Daphne
^Almost like my list excerpt I have Vika over Na as 2nd worst.
I feel like Venus could have beaten Na at Cincinatti if it wasn't for her back injury
