Yeah, I never know what to expect from a match with Monica, when she plays an established opponent who she hasn't met before. Both girls are absolutely at the top of their games right now I would say so it should make for an intriguing encounter.

I think the fact that they have never played each other will help Monica more. Klara may have a harder time adapting to Monica's game because of its uniqueness. On the other hand Klara's game is quite classic, nothing that could catch the Queen by surprise.

That said, Klara doesn't strike me as the kind of player who would be totally unable to deal with Monica's junk. I mean, she's not Safarova. She's good on both sides, she can rally but has the ability to hit winners as well.

But who knows which Klara will turn. Hopefully the moody and unmotivated one.

First time I'm watching this week. This looks like the same surface Beijing is played on and we know what Monica is capable of on the holy ground of the 5th slam.

Zakopalova was on fire right from the beginning of the match. She simply got outplayed, but still some nice rallies between them here and there. Scoreline could have been closer if Monica coverted her BPs in the 1st set.
