you're right, the scenario is quite simple in 2013, she needs to improve in 8 mandatory events (only 311 pts earned this year!)
but to me, the main question is, can Petra stay injury free?
if the answer is yes, I can definitely see her break the top 30

Really hope Petra is healthy and ready, and that she gets a good draw tomorrow. Too bad she couldn't play anything before Melbourne, which is certainly not something that'll help. She's got almost 800 points to defend until Wimbledon, so not much room to breathe - makes upcoming R1 that much more important.

Good draw? Doi is not an easy opponent in the lst and she likely gets Maria in the 2nd. How is that a good draw, especially since she hasn't played a match this year? Petra is likely going home after the 2nd round.
