I was at her match today. She played so well  Her depth of shot was too short in the first set but she corrected that in the remainder of the match. She also didn't call her coach on in the 2nd or 3rd sets which is good also I think.
There was a big rain-delay at 5-3 in the 3rd set, right when she had the momentum of the match. That was a bit unlucky but she came back and served really well to win it.
Next match is against Daria Gavrilova!  |

She played pretty well. Served well. Was hitting pretty big off both sides. I think it was just her consistency that let her down. But that's what Vania does to people

I also went to today's match vs. Gavrilova. It was so intense  Daria was so fired up and it was incredibly hot out there |

She shouldn't have lost that today She was the better player in the 1st set but just lost her concentration at the end. |

Why didn't Vania get the Sharapova lucky loser spot? She's ranked higher than Tsurenko, who is now in the semis of the main draw?
