What course/uni were you thinking. To be fair, I'm not sure how it works in Australia, I think it might be more similar to here than US. But if that's not the case IDK, I prefer the structure of UK degrees, they're more specialised.

so would i & i even have that same regret - i wanted to go to france for student exchange . my cousin left for london today, shes got some 3 year scholarship at a uni or something.
