I think their is some request, or voting involved. I remember I was verry active when trying to get sub forum for Lucic. You need to get many votes.

Thanks for posting this - just proves again what I've been saying for years; that switching away from quality point system was one of the stupidest things the folks at WTA have ever done. Nowdays, players with excellent fitness - who can play a lot - or a fat checkbook - who can afford to travel half way around the world for a tournament (caugh, caugh...

) - can build their ranking with considerbly less trouble.

I wouldn't go that far, but Donna's ranking would certainly be a lot closer to 200 than to 100. Of course, that would still be awesome for someone her age, but not as awesome as her current position.

Thought it would be useful to have - Petra's 2012 points (Mandatory events are underlined):

January: Australian Open (5)
February: Paris (60), Dubai (20), Kuala Lumpur (200)
March: Indian Wells (5), Miami (5)
April: Copenhagen (130), Budapest (70)
May: Madrid (5), French Open (280)
June: Wimbledon (5)
August: US Open (5)
September: Quebec City (30), Tokyo (125), Beijing (1)
October: Linz (70)

Results that don't count towards her ranking: R1 losses in Doha, Rome, Bad Gastein and Luxembourg, each earning her 1 point.

So until the French she has exactly 500 to defend and a little more starting with the French until the end of the season. Currently, she is some 450 points behind a spot that would lead her to Grand slam seeding - do you guys think she can get there in 2013? I think it's doable (assuming she stays healthy, of course), especially if we consider that she has 3 slams and 4 other mandatories where she can only gain points compared to 2012.
