Ahrensburg. Weder Teenieschwarm Andy Murray noch der Weltranglistenerste Novak Djokovic können sie vor die Mattscheibe locken. Dass die besten Tennisprofis der Welt seit knapp zwei Wochen im australischen Melbourne um den ersten Grand-Slam-Titel des Jahres spielen, lässt Lisa Ponomar ziemlich kalt. "Ich verfolge natürlich die Ergebnisse. Aber ganz ehrlich: Tennis im Fernsehen finde ich langweilig", sagt die Ahrensfelderin.

Von jeder anderen 15-Jährigen könnte man so einen Satz verstehen - aber von einer, die vor gut zwei Jahren ihr Leben umgekrempelt hat, um später selbst einmal in den großen Tennisstadien von Paris, London oder New York den Schläger zu schwingen, erwartet man doch etwas anderes. "Vielleicht hängt es damit zusammen, dass sich bei mir ohnehin fast alles um Tennis dreht", sagt sie.

Dabei wäre ihre Karriere vor gut einem Jahr beinahe schon vorbei gewesen, noch ehe sie so richtig begonnen hatte. Es war der 14. Januar 2012: Lisa war mit ihrer Mutter auf der Rückfahrt von einem Turnier in Polen, als das Auto bei Eisglätte von der Straße abkam und sich überschlug. Während Alexandra Garmasch mit dem Schrecken davonkam, zog sich ihre Tochter eine Beckenprellung zu und hatte am ganzen Körper blaue Flecken. Lisa: "Ich konnte mich einige Tage lang überhaupt nicht richtig bewegen und habe geglaubt, jetzt ist es aus mit dem Sport." Vier Wochen später stand sie wieder auf dem Tennisplatz. Nach zwei Monaten bestritt sie das erste Match. Inzwischen belaste sie der Unfall überhaupt nicht mehr, versichert Lisa.

Sportlich geht es seitdem nur noch bergauf: Sie gewann vergangenes Jahr zehn Turniere, kletterte in der Jugendweltrangliste bis auf Rang 326, ist damit die viertbeste deutsche Spielerin. Allein mit ihrer knappen Finalniederlage am vergangenen Sonntag beim Yonex ITF Hamburg gegen die deutsche Jugendmeisterin Katharina Gerlach (Essen) machte sie 91 Plätze gut.

Mit mehr Training könnte die Ahrensburgerin wohl noch sehr viel weiter oben stehen. "Uns geht es aber nicht um den kurzfristigen Erfolg", sagt Vater Dimitri Ponomar, der zugleich ihr Trainer ist. "Andere in ihrem Alter trainieren sechs Stunden und mehr pro Tag, sind deshalb schon kräftiger. Doch für Mädchen, die noch im Wachstum sind, finde ich das unvernünftig. Wir gehen da einen etwas anderen Weg."

Dennoch kann die 1,77 Meter große Ahrensburgerin schon einige beachtliche Erfolge vorweisen - ihr größter war der Gewinn des Doppelwettbewerbs beim bedeutenden Orange Bowl Mitte Dezember in Plantenton/Florida, wo sie an der Seite der Amerikanerin Johnnise Renaud antrat. Der Sieg habe für einen großen Schub gesorgt, sagt Lisa: "Ich bin selbstbewusster geworden und fühle mich jetzt viel stärker, weil ich gesehen habe, dass der Unterschied zu den Spielerinnen, die ganz vorn in der Rangliste stehen, gar nicht so groß ist." Zudem habe sie die USA-Reise mit sieben Turnieren innerhalb von zehn Wochen darin bestärkt, so entschlossen wie bisher weiterzumachen. "Die Welt kennenlernen, heute hier und morgen dort spielen - das ist genau das, was ich später machen möchte", sagt Lisa.

Beim Orange Bowl haben in jungen Jahren auch spätere Weltklassespieler wie Björn Borg, John McEnroe, Roger Federer oder Caroline Wozniacki gewonnen. Lisa sorgte für den ersten deutschen Sieg seit dem Erfolg von Andrea Glass 1991. Das Internetportal tennisnet.com sieht sie deshalb schon als Nachfolgerin von Angelique Kerber (Kiel) und Julia Görges (Bad Oldesloe), die in der aktuellen Damen-Weltrangliste auf den Plätzen fünf und 18 stehen.

Für dieses Jahr sind die nächsten kleinen Schritte geplant: Lisa soll vermehrt an Damenturnieren teilnehmen. Zudem will sie in der Zweiten Bundesliga spielen. Ein kleiner Traum von ihr ist außerdem die Qualifikation für den Juniorenwettbewerb bei einem der Grand-Slam-Turniere.

Zunächst beschäftigt die Ponomars allerdings eine ganz andere Frage: Wie geht es mit der Schule weiter? Derzeit ist Lisa an einer Fernschule in Mannheim angemeldet. Das bedeutet, sie muss nur bei Klausuren anwesend sein. Den Unterrichtsstoff kann sie sich mithilfe der Eltern oder einer Nachhilfelehrerin aneignen und ist frei in ihrer Zeiteinteilung. Ideal also, um Schule und Training zu koordinieren.

Mit dem kürzlichen Wechsel vom TC RW Wahlstedt zum Club an der Alster ist die junge Ahrensfelderin aber auch in das Blickfeld von Hamburger Tennisverband und Sportbund gerückt. Dort hat man eine Förderung in Aussicht gestellt, zugleich aber auch angeregt, auf die Eliteschule des Sports am Alten Teichweg zu wechseln. "Da wird zwar auch Rücksicht auf Training und Wettkampf genommen", so Dimitri Ponomar, "wir wären aber zeitlich lange nicht mehr so flexibel wie bisher."

Lisa sagt aber, sie hätte kein Problem damit: "Es gibt Tage, da vermisse ich den geregelten Schulalltag sogar." Auch so ein Satz, den man aus dem Mund einer 15-Jährigen nicht unbedingt erwartet.
