Re: Top 5 best matches your favourite has played on each surface...
Discounting early round matches against scrubs obvs (Aside from grass where Karolina has hardly played anyone of note).
Outdoor hard :
Wozniacki def. Pennetta 6-2 6-0 (Doha 2011) GOATniacki
Wozniacki def. Zvonareva 6-3 3-6 6-3 (Beijing 2010) Consistent aggressive tennis with fantastic defence
Wozniacki def. Sharapova 6-3 6-4 (USO 2010) Same as above, but also completely neutralised her opponent.
Wozniacki def. S.Williams 6-4 6-4 (Miami 2012) Just cos she beat Serena
Wozniacki def. Zvonareva 6-3 6-2 (Montreal 2010) Once again perfect balance of aggression, defence and great serving
Indoor hard:
Wozniacki def. Stosur 6-2 4-6 7-5 (Moscow 2012) Overcame her gremlin
Wozniacki def. Safarova 6-1 6-4 (Copenhagen 2011) Beat a tricky opponent on a tricky surface
Wozniacki def. Goerges 3-6 6-0 7-6 (Copenhagen 2010) Dodgy line-calls aside, Woz played pretty well to win
Wozniacki def. Kerber 7-6 6-3 (Copenhagen 2011) Her last win over Kerber , was closer than it looked, Karolina fought and won all the important points.
Dementieva def. Wozniacki 2-6 6-4 7-6 (Luxembourg 2008) Despite the loss both played great and was a toughly contested battle.
Grass:
Wozniacki def. Kirilenko 6-0 6-4 (Wimbledon 2009) Pre-peak peak Woz
Paszek def. Wozniacki 5-7 7-6 7-5 (Wimbledon 2012) Greatest grass match she played
Wozniacki def. Razzano 7-6 7-5 (Eastbourne 2009) Beat peak Razzano
Jankovic def. Wozniacki 2-6 6-4 6-2 (Wimbledon 2008) She lost but really made the #2 in the world work hard
Wozniacki def. Kuznetsova 6-2 6-2 (Eastbourne 2008) First beatdown of top 5 player
Green clay/Red clay:
Wozniacki def. Radwanska 7-5 6-3 (Stuttgart 2011) Out-sliced, out drop-shotted and outhit Aga
Wozniacki def. Pennetta 7-6 6-7 6-2 (RG 2010) First near-epic clay win
Wozniacki def. Schiavone 6-4 4-6 6-3 (Brussels 2011) Outfoxed reigning RG champ
Wozniacki def. Mauresmo 7-6 6-3 (Madrid 2009) One of her better clay matches over a notable opponent
Wozniacki def. Petkovic 6-4 6-1 (Stuttgart 2011) Avenged her loss and outwitted her opponent. Andy looked lost

Oh. The Karolina and Henin match were typos (there's quite of few of them in it actually). The Peng match was an honest mistake, thanks for correcting.

Re: Top 5 best matches your favourite has played on each surface...
Why in the world are Ana saying 08 AO versus Venus. Venus played awful and actually ended up rubbing off on Ana.
Outdoor Hard
IW '08 Final v Kuznetsova (Ana's best ever serving day)
Montreal '06 Final v Hingis
Los Angeles '07 SF v Jankovic
IW '08 SF v Jankovic
Los Angeles '07 F v Petrova
Indoor Hard
Stuttgart '07 v Schnyder (I forget the round, but Ana almost double bageled Patty)
Zurich '09 SF v Venus
Linz '04 QF v Sharapova
Luxembourg '07 F v Hantuchova
Luxembourg '07 QF/SF v Golovin
Clay
RG '08 SF v Jankovic
RG '08 4r v Cetkovska
RG '08 QF v Schnyder
RG '07 v QF Kuznetsova
RG '05 3r v Mauresmo
Grass
Wimbledon '07 QF v Vaidisova
Wimbledon '07 4r v Petrova
Wimbledon '09 3r? v Stosur
TBH she doesn't have 5 great matches on grass

Re: Top 5 best matches your favourite has played on each surface...
Well, another recounting of the hundreds and hundreds of wins from the invincible Goddess Dementieva or Darth Vika would be dull and too easy.
So let's go with one of the tour's more underappreciated talents.
Yes, this one:
The bane of FO winners, the Backhandless Babe, the Swedish Sweetheart, Johanna Larsson.
Outdoor Hard:
Miami, 2010, def. Na, 7-5, 6-7, 7-6
Dallas, 2011 def Halep because I got to experience the JoJo Mojo live and in person!!!!!
Red Clay
FO, 2011 def Ivanovic, 7-6, 0-6, 6-2
There have been others, but those are the best by far. Jo-La's only titles are in doubles.

The 08 French Open final should definitely be in Ivanovic's top 5 on clay. Such an underrated match, IMO.

Re: Top 5 best matches your favourite has played on each surface...
Am I missing something? Is the Australian Open played indoors? I'm looking at the posters who mentioned Maria's win over Henin in 2008 :dunno: Anywho, for Sharapova
Outdoor hard
2008 AO QF: flawless performance, probably the best match of her career. Perfect serving and brutal groundstrokes, especially the backhand; there was no answer to what she was producing point after point. Not only was this the de facto final, it avenged her previous year embarrassment in the final and put an end to Henin's domination.
Indoor Hard
2007 YEC F: even though she lost it against Henin at the peak of her powers, it displayed how destructive her game could still be on a fast surface. Her serve was finally back and it sent a message going into 2008, especially given how easily Henin had dismissed everyone else that week.
Clay
2012 Stuttgart F: she overcame her demons regarding finals and her current nemesis Azarenka in the perfect display of power tennis on a slow surface. It showed how devastating her game had become on clay, from the kick serves, to the defensive slides on her backhand side, to how brutal her forehand comes if she just has that extra time to load up on it, and, in all honesty, I knew she was gonna go all the way at the French, Serena or not.
(Honorable mention to the RG SF against Kvitova. The way she routined Petra with an immaculate gameplan mixing offense and defense in THOSE conditions was a joy to watch)
Grass
2004 Wimbledon F: it was her 'star is born' moment. She shut down the 2 time defending champion at 17 years of age, leaving her with no answer whatsoever. Watching those 100% flat strokes skid on grass and flying past Williams gives me tennisgasms.
