Re: Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, USA, GA
Yeah, it sucks when great potentials fall apart, whatever the reasons may be. A new Spanish with flat groundstrokes would've been a good addition to the game. Beating the kinds of Konjuh, Ostapenko and Sorribes is impressive.
Do you guys know other similar cases of good prospects who retired very early?

Re: Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, USA, GA
I think she doesn't play tennis anymore, but i watch a couple of pics of her recently and she look very happy. And injury like that is really bad, but the fact that she was injuried so young could be an advantage.
Yes, she was very talented, and she was one of the tops of her age, but it was too soon to know if she could really make it, so in my opinion is easier to move on with your life. It's not like if you are a top junior ready to play pros and have that kind of injury.
It was a pity because she had a very different game from other young spaniards like Sorribes or Payola who play with a lot of top spin, but unfortunately we'll never know if she would be a big star or another promising girl who never fullfill her potential

Anna Orlik.
Eddie Herr/Orange Bowl double as a 12 years old, winning Eddie Herr U14 as 13 years old. Ranked first at Tennis Europe Junior Tour U14 (being younger than main competitors). As a 14 years old, took a set off from Rezai and double bageled Minella in one of first pro matches. Had tons of support and wild-cards from Octagon and Natasha Zvereva for the coaching advice.
Retired before turning 18 (not counting one doubles match).

Anna
She said she would start playing again soon but it was like 2 years ago now and it looks like she won't play ever again.

Thanks. I think I heard about her one time
I'm following juniors only since the start of 2011 and I don't know much about what happened before, so the info is much appreciated
