All favourites won. Kuzmova had the most difficult match and she won a lot easier than i expected. Galfi seems to be not in her best form

Watch out for Gorches. Saw her in Junior Fed Cup last September and has a stylish one hand backhand and lots of potential. Was used for a few doubles and won the points against Australia and Korea playing girls 2 years older She played just one singles and lost in 3 sets against a strong Paraguayan. I was pretty impressed.

Very easy victories for the favourites in U12.

In U14 there were three interesting matches, Jokic won clearly against Kenin, Payola won in a three setter against Granic (but every set was very one sided) and the most interesting one is the Kuzmova-Gorches wich seems to be the most tight too, we'll see who will win that match

Well no big surprises, maybe how easy Desiatnikov defeated Vukoivc, and Liu victory against Arias Manjón was more one sided than expected.
In U14, Payola defeating Stollar and Jokic defeating Plews are not surprises at all. In fact with Galfi not at her best (like she showed on Eddie Herr) Payola-Jokic was one of the finals with more probabilities

Is Galfi in bad form or just not that great after all?

Well, at that age all players are irregular, Fridman is doing great lately, and she dominated most part of the year in europe, but the beginning of the year was far less stellar. Lumsden is great a tournament and bad in other, the same with Plews. Stollar did well on juniors (and Eddie Herr last week) but really bad in her U14 european tournaments. Jokic who is doing fantastic here, was quite irregular this year.
Even someone like Tornado Ali Black had her bad moments this year.

Galfi did great during most season (she didn't started well the season) and i heard from people who watch her play, that she is quite impressive. And here she lost against El Houari, who is a good player (she won here U12 two years ago against Jokic). So i don't think there's nothing to worry about.

It's true she was the favourite on her half of the draw, but Jokic in the final (even not being seeded) is not a surprise. And in the other half, in my opinion (no matter she was seed number 8) Payola was the favourite (there were good players on her draw, and she didn't do well here in the past, but she is quite regular for her age) so the final is not exactly surprising.

14 are very unstable it's normal, plus it was close
