The Australian Open organisers probably have no idea who Donna is so I'm sure she'll be on an untelevised court  Unless she plays an Aussie or a Top 20 player.
A match against Barty would be interesting and a pretty good draw to be honest. |

Have to disagree with this - they surely know who she is, as she is one of the best newcomers on the Tour and almost a top 100 player. They do follow the Tour regularly, I'm sure.

Only way to get on Rod Laver is to play against a Top 4 player and even then it is not a guarantee. Only exception is an Aussie player who is in great form and people would want to watch.
Apart from RL, Hisense and MC, there is also a showcourt or two that is televised, although no commentary.

I still don't think they'd put her on a show court if she was against a random non seeded player, unless she was against an Aussie
Even some seeded players don't get their first rounds on a show court.

I'd prefer it if Donna would draw Serena  Seriously though, anyone but Petra - cause Donna needs a win for her confidence after what happened to her at the last slam (don't want her to build frustration with slams so early on), while Petra needs a great start of the season and also to do good at mandatory events after all the early exits she had on them so far; that alone seriously prevents her from climbing further up the rankings.

I agree with Blue_Trees. The reason why I hate Australian tennis so much is that we only care about our own, then hype them so much and put too much pressure on. Think Stosur vs Cirstea 
Donna will not get on a showcourt unless she draws a Top 20 Seed or an Aussie IMO

That's not true at all, we like all sports stars. Hype our own more sure, but every country does that.
But they must perform well at Australia first, to earn the respect of the general public. No matter how well you do oversees, if you don't perform here you won't be rated as highly.
With respect to Donna, she must play here first to catch the attention. So no people won't know about her this year.
