Thrashed in both singles and doubles. Wish I could say the bad weather all week was an excuse, but it was the same for everybody

I totally forgot my plan to be patient and consistent. We actually had some great points in set 1 but I only one two games somehow, and then no games after that

.

Now to work on my serve, and try for next Saturday

. I also need to lift through my forehand a little better (like James Blake does in this vid. I think I have good forehand power considering it's really just racket-head speed doing all the work but I really think I have potential to improve there. I just need to improve that, my serve & patience.

Conso is still good

I haven't won a match on any TA, i've only played 2 though. I'm not really getting no where though, mainly the reason is because tennis for me to my parents is like priority 100

I won my second 8.0 Mixed Doubles match of the season (6-4 6-4), now 2-2 for the 2012 Mixed Doubles season with 2 matches to go.

And last week I played in a doubles charity tournament last minute and go to the finals.

You have to be persistent

My parents didn't want me to play tennis either, and still don't really. They won't take me to Gosford to play tournaments and no leave from school, but luckily there are a few local events in Sydney plus a couple of White AMTs at my level

Also I have a lot of holidays, but I still have to catch public transport to most of my tournaments, but I get to go on a tournament trip these holidays

It annoys me though that because they want to get people in the country to play tennis, there are no Golds and Silvers in Sydney anymore, so the Golds in Bathurst are weaker than the White's here

I was unfortunate in that I drew a really good player early in my tournament, who went on to do really well, so I had to play conso, but got some good matches and points

Also, there are some tournaments near you I think Hindrance.. And match play is more important than points or TA

I haven't played a TA tournament in ages (1 year ago). I play the Eastern Tennis Region, I can play well when I'm in training, but I seem to struggle when I play comps. There is usually 1 OJT per holiday thats near me, but the weak ones are usually in Shepparton or Bendigo which is like a few hours away

I honestly still think I'm just not ready. And you wouldn't understand, I have Asian parents so of course they want me to finish school

I am of course going to finish school also. Both my parents are lawyers and I asked my mum thta if I made Top 100 in TA if I could do schooling by correspondence and she said no

She won't let me take leave, which is becoming more of an issue as Sydney is losing all its events. I would like to play the G5 next year in Sydney next year though

My mum said she would let me skip school to play that because it's international, although it isn't really. Also Qualies is on the weekend, although there wasn't even any qualies matches except a couple this year
