Some nice pieces (No.8) there (and a fair few cheesy ones too)... It's a bit of a mixed bag though, and seems she is still very much searching for her own style, and direction, and originality... It will be interesting to see where she takes it and how she eventually manages to reflect her own life experience in the work. I'm not seeing alot of herself in the work yet. At this point I would say she is doing a good job exploring her technique.

Tittles and descriptions for the abstracts would have been nice.

You know,that was my first impression,too but,then again,I'm sure that I lack the eye for artistic detail that Burisleif and the Emperor have...plus,as Burisleif implied,I'm quite sure that painting is a gift that one usually doesn't master overnight,so we can't be overly judgmental.......What left me underwhelmed,at first glance,was that Vera herSELF is so magnificent to behold so I probably hoped that her paintings would be of similar splendor

There are a couple drawbacks,of course,the main one being lack of videocamera to tape his nervous,startled expressions.Also of great importance is that I'd rather not make Mom unhappy during the holidays,even if it's for a brief moment......Seriously,though,the unworthy,spoiled yapper deserves SOME kind of discomfort for making portions of my vacation unpleasant,so I could pour some canine laxative all over his dog food to give him a major case of the s--ts....except I'd have to make sure that he didn't drop dead from chemical side effects,or else Mom would be broken hearted...so I probably won't do ANYthing significant in the end

Some of you have mentioned that the nationwide level of passion for tennis wasn't that strong in Denmark,but do they have a sort of 'Extraliga' that Caro has ever played in?

Not that I'm a specialist by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't see much originality there. But they are definitely not embarrasing by any means either. She's pretty good for an amateur I think.

Not sure what kind of political propaganda is popular in Germany,but Annika Beck brought embarrassment upon her intellectual rating just recently.She was asked what person in the world she'd like to meet,and one of her choices,Steffi Graf,made perfect sense....for her OTHER choice,she didn't pick some brave human rights crusader...or a talented musician...or a brilliant writer....or an heroic champion for the poor...or some great political leader...or ANYone who had bettered the world in any way: She chose Barack Obama;Saca la cabeza de tu culo,chica aleman mareada!....I hope that's not any reflection of the modern educational system in Germany as I have affection for your country due to my familial ancestry

I'm not German, so others might be better qualified to answer your question about what political propaganda works best there, but I suspect it's "Don't blame us, blame them" just like in any other country.

Yes, they have the Elite Division. This year a couple of WTA top 100 players have participated (Mona Barthel and Johanna Larsson). Sofia Arvidsson also used to play (she did so last year).

Caro has also played in "Elitedivisionen" but that was many years ago.

They've always used mixed teams but in 2013 there will be two Danish "Elite divisions" - one for men, and another for women. This has caused a lot of debate in tennis circles in Denmark, and some clubs or members are protesting wildly. I actually thinks it's a good idea.
