I'd never shade Alexandra.
I really think it's remarkable to play the week before Christmas. She could easily just skip it and focus on next year, especially because the tournament is played indoors.
On the other hand we need this gif in here.

Fun aside, I really think quicker surfaces may be an advantage now, because matches on clay are more tiresome.
