Dear Dan,
Thanks for your mail. Yes there will a broadcaster in the uk airing the wta but we can't tell you which one until the channel decides to do a press release about it.

Got pretty much the same reply.

Dear Sirs,
I am emailing you to find out if you have any firm news regarding a broadcast partner for WTA Premier events for Ireland and Great Britain for 2013 and beyond. With the 2013 season less than four weeks away, some positive developments would be most welcome. I am aware that tennistv.com will be providing online coverage, but I would like to have the option of television viewing as well.
Best wishes
............
Dear Kieran,
Yes, there is a broadcaster confirmed for next year but which one will be released when the channel decides to do a press release.
Best regards
Daniel

It did appear in some TV shedules that British ES would show it. But it has since then been removed from the schedule.

How much does ESPN cost in the UK, as it is an extra? I can't find any listings on the ESPN website saying they are covering the China Event, is this because Laura is playing there?

I believe the BSkyB site shows the ESPN schedule but only for a few weeks ahead.

You can find the prices at this link - it varies depending on your platform (Sky, Virgin media, BT vision or freeview top up tv).
http://tv.espn.co.uk/gb/espl/get-espn?panelNum=4
If you have Sky then ESPN costs £13 extra a month or only £10 if you are a Sky sports subscriber.
Virgin media and BT vision are cheaper.
If you like quantity - and like watching the smaller events - then it may be worth the investment. Just a shame tennis coverage for the uk will now be on multiple platforms - it was so much easier with just Sky and ES covering everything!

When does the WTA realise this is a big mistake? We are into December and still NO news!

Credit where credit is due, the number of matches on TennisTV seems to be increasing.
Just got this message on Twitter following a conversation in which we complained about only six matches being shown from Dubai:

Me too. It was so easy to follow the WTA Tour around the year when Eurosport had those rights and watch the matches on HD live. In Finland I only needed to pay 30 euros per year for a cable-tv company to see Eurosport, EurosportHD and 9 other extra channels in the same package. http://www.elisa.fi/yksityisille/kaa..._kanavakortti/
It would be frustrating if I had to use mainly livescorehunter´s live streams to see those matches in the future.
I wonder which part of the world snooker is more popular than tennis? Or why is it shown so much on Eurosport?

Having no clue about Snooker but I take a guess...because it's cheap programming. Eurosport needs to fill a lot of air time, that's why losing the WTA hurt them so much. The got tons of live weekday programming from a sport that has a reasonable following for just $10 million dollars a year. That's why they`re even planning to air ITF tournaments now, they have big programming void to fill..

Re: News confirmed: No tennis on Eurosport in 2013 outside the slams
Sorry if it was already said, but few days ago I read in Polish media that this whole mess is kinda WTA fault, because they requested showing tennis for few hours a day at least. No idea if it's true, however if it is - this is really a tough situation for stations like Eurosport.
They also asked in some other Polish media - some answered that they would only like to show Radwańska's matches, others - that they are not interested. Some other ones: that they have no space to dedicate few hours a day for tennis.
Basically - one big mess
About snooker - not like I am negative for it, but lately I have a feeling that they might change their name to Eurosnooker... except winter season, almost every moment I turn ES on - snooker is there.
