I pretty much played my PEAK form today

well...in the last two sets. I lost the first 3-6, and from then on it was like PeakPiercesus had taken over my body, I stated the second with 16 straight points

I lost three points in the 4-0* game but cleared up the set with 4 aces

In the third the first 5 games were fairly tight as we both played well, but won the last 13 points of the match

for the 3-6 6-0 6-2.

Contemplating retirement after that. It will never happen again.

I really needed some wins this week. Last Saturday I lost both singles and doubles and I was feeling really down about it.

Today started out pretty dismal. I was playing against a guy who I've practiced with a couple of times. I lost the first set 0-6 and I was pissed. Then he held first game of set 2 to lead 6-0 1-0. I finally won my first game next and roared "Come On!" like Serena does except manlier

I can't honestly say I played that much better after that but he went into a slump, and I won the second set 6-2. If we split sets we have a supertiebreak, and I won that 10-6

0-6 6-2 (10-6)

. Then in doubles we play first to 9 games and me + partner won 9-6

. So it was a great day.

I've kinda worked out my gamestyle a bit better after today I think. I've been trying to play really powerful and that hasn't really worked. I do have enough power to not be attacked easily, but consistency is more my thing

. So for the time being I'm gonna try and keep this in mind.

Maybe with a different, heavier racket I'll be able to play with more power. I'll have to save up for that

Great job everyone!!

I always can hit so well in practice but never go for my shots in matches. I am so mentally unstable and simply resort to pushing which doesn't work at my level

Anyone got any tips? My serve absolutely sucks and I have to focus on my ground game.

A lot of pros have that problem too. How many times have we read about a player hitting well in practice only to flop during a match?

Just decided to play my 6th Futures even this coming January in Florida

Its really just for the kick of doing it as I have really not been playing as much recently. But I'll be in the area with my family, should be a great chance to enjoy it once again!

I haven't done well on clay at all. I barely have the chance to play on clay during the year and so far I have really been killed on green and red clay. At least I managed to get games both times. So I'm just going out there to have fun, but hopefully not get double bagelled

I'm doing much better on hardcourts and indoors though, which fits my style much better and my training over the years.

But hey, I'm not taking this seriously. I'm having fun playing such tournaments, dream come true!
