Back on topic I do agree that the off season is boring. No tennis, no Maria, nothing. And it's going to be like this for one more month

Personally I love having the off season as a tennis fan
it gives me a break to concentrate on my final deadlines for uni, go home and spend christmas with my family and catch up on TV shows and movies. I love tennis, don't get me wrong, but if it was tournament after tournament after tournament all year I'd start to implode 
Plus we get to see hilarious videos of Masha on the practise courts and on holiday  |

You do have a point. I don't know maybe I feel like that because I became an obsessed tennis fan only this year so I guess I might be a little over excited  but I think it's just a phase I'll probably calm down soon enough

People think its weird that I've met some people from online in real life.
I met the girl I'm dating online.
Maybe all the people from NY or around there could go to the US Open together. I've never actually watched tennis with a hardcore fan.

I stanned for other players to (Dementieva also comes to mind. Weird.) Actually the injury was pretty good timing for me (in a weird way) as a Maria fan. I became a fan during AO 08, but then it felt like 2 weeks later she got injured. But over the course of the 9 months I watched a ton of her old matches (back when megaupload still existed, RIP  ) and by the time she came back I was all caught up
