Smart scheduling, but even in Lagos she beat a couple of players ranked ahead of her. Especially her 1st Top 100 win against Bratchikova may be a turning point in her career. Anyway, she already passed Elena Bogdan who was ratet so much higher as a junior.

Now, she will need around 30 points to make the Australian Open Q-draw (#240 next week). I don't know her schedule for the rest of the year, but I hope she can do it.

#12 Elena-Teodora Cadar advanced to the main draw after upsetting #2 Anastasia Kharchenko, 2 & 4! Qualifiers haven't been placed yet, but hope she gets a good spot.

Daiana Negreanu reached her third semi of the year, after defeating Yasmine Guimaraes, 61 67(5) 75! Now faces Q Andrea Benitez for a spot in the final. Andrea leads the h2h, 1-0.

Daiana was upset by Andrea Benitez in three tight sets, 57 64 63.

Looks like she went straight to the 25K qualifiers the same day. Seeded #10, won her first match, against Carolina Costamagna, 3 & 1.

Cristina Dinu defeated Dabrowski and Artamanova in straight sets to qualify for the 75k ITF-tournament in Dubai.

She will get her own thread if she wins R1 against Luksika Khumkhum.

This is her first tournament since winning Lagos. She's currently on a 7-match win streak.
